Our main request here in the sty is that you post lots of pictures of your progress.

So Mark, you made it home after the run - what’s been going on? You do some rewiring? I’m interested in seeing how you wired the charging system. You’re not still using an externally regulated alternator, are you?

No re-wiring yet. I just cleaned up the mess I made at PP18. I'm going to have a custom wiring harness made though from Cruiserbrett, when he has time to do it. I'm running the same stock charging system with the externally regulated altenator.

Gordobe is running this in his pig:

they sure are proud of their alts. My marine 200 amp was $100.

Looking in to using one of these. 100 amps is plenty for my needs, but the stock wiring configuration will need to be modified to eliminate the amp meter, among other things.

Didn’t mean to hijack, Mark. Just got done going thru your thread and didn’t see your charging system mentioned. Since it’s all stock, that’s probably why.

Caught your truck at REI today. Nice talking with you. Your pig is a beauty and now I'm going to enjoy reading your build.

The good news:
After a long and frustrating weekend, I finally got it to run. :) It took me the longest time to realize that I needed to have my foot on the brake pedal in order for the ecu to tell everything to start firing. I'm such a rookie.View attachment 1697731

How do you like this intake routing and air filter?

Where did you get the hard lines for the intake? Did they have the nipples already installed?

The hard lines are 3" exhaust pipe. I welded the nipples on. That's actually an old photo. I took out the 90 degree elbow and ran straight towards the windshield washer reservoir. The main reason I did it was to get it away from the hot radiator.

Will you post updated pics?

Inquiring minds want to know...

No air pump on yours? Looks like it frees up some space under the hood!
