I'll second that... the refreshed interior + LED's must make a world of difference!

It's a huge transformation... Thanks I can't wait to start driving it.... I'm about a week away from completion. Here's another picture I took this morning from my phone. Total cost about $120 for the vinyl and $30 for the glue....had I waited three day my cost for the same vinyl would be $70.00...its on sale....It was $21.00 per yard now it $11.00

Today I finished up the headliner with the LED dome lights and the installation of the 3.5 inch rear roof speakers and grill brackets. i also figured out how I'm going to wire my door speakers....I drilled a 3/4 inch hole and installed a grommet found a rubber hose that fit tight....wrapped with tape and coated everything with liquid tape...you need to be very carefull when driiing the rear door....The first hole I drilled....its above and to the left.....hit the window track...
I was able to get my rear speakers installed....but not wired yet and finished up the Dynaliner of the rear floor and installed Fatmat Rattle Trap in the rear cargo areas

3.5 inch speakers in the dash

Today I mounted 3.5 inch speakers in the dash...behind the factory grills.. To make room on the passenger side I removed the factory amp and removed the brackets from the amp. Then I velcroed the amp to the engine control unit.
Following what others have done I cut the mounting tabs from the factory speakers.....a screw and a litte JB Weld later....I have 3.5 inch speakers behind factory grills.

Almost Done

Spent most of the day working on the Cruiser...I spent the past few evenings wiring the door panels and fabbed brackets for the crossovers and wired the crossovers so all the doors panels were plug and play.
I cut and installed the door plastic using 3M strip -calk and mounted the crossovers and got all the door panels installed.

Then came the new 80 carpet the back seats and the rear cargo panels..
Next up......Alpine PDK-5 Amp under the drivers seat and the Pioneer Nav head unit.

is it done yet?

is it done yet?

To answer your question.....almost...

The good news...is, its extremely quiet...for an 80 .. the doors are heavy and shut with a solid thud. The Dynamat, Dynaliner Fatmat Rattletrap Extreame and the Second Skin sound deadener was worth every penny and my time for the install.
I'm also experiencing the value of the white roof with Dynamat and Dynaliner... the temps are 94 plus and extremely humid and around town I can run the A/C on the lowest fan setting and the truck stays nice and cool inside.
Its also my daily driver until the new CT200h arrives..

I was able to install the Pioner Nav head unit but ....the bad news is my Alpine amp has two blown channels so its getting sent to Alpine for a fix and we have determined the sub woofer box is to small...so I'm going to enlarge the box and if doesn't produce the right bass response I'm going design a completely new cargo panel to except a larger box...
Bottom line is I'm having a blast driving it and in a couple of weeks I should have the stereo hooked up and sounding great..

Amazing progress, it is really looking good.

Good motivation for me to use up the couple rolls of Dynamat I have left over on my 80.

You might want to check under the spoiler. When I pulled my roof rack I didn't have any rust, when I pulled the spoiler there was some rust around the bottom mounting holes.

How much was the new carpet if you don't mind me asking?:)

The front section that covers the front floor and just behind the second row
List Price $626.00 Mud Price $469.00 and UPS to my zip $34.10..If you need all four pieces its was $1195.84 List Price $896.84 Mud Price and $34.10 UPS ...the gray carpet is no longer available and I figured they won't produce the brown much longer...so it was worth the expense and with the new headliner it smells like a new car:bounce: You gotta love CruiserDan
