Pics, or it didn't happen.

As soon as my battery charges for my camera I will snap a pic...very happy with the results, drove home from Mammoth today, not hot but when I stopped could feel the heat pouring through the vents...

Not the best looking hood, will have to do something with it soon..

Unfortunately I can't report on my temp readings as a direct result of the vents, but with the combo of GTP hood vents, a new t-stat, Landtank's modded blue hub fan clutch, a new fan blade, new coolant hoses, and a drain, flush & fill with Toyota red 50/50 my rig is running 177-179 at idle, 181-184 freeway, and I have yet to see anything over 190 on climbs with the AC on - but we're not in summer heat right now and I haven't really flogged it too hard yet. Before this re-attack on the cooling system I was at 190 idle, 194 freeway, and 200 to 204 up climbs, sometimes hotter. Like Tim said above, the vents feel like a hair drier.

 Damn! Love your ride. And way to keep it cool, those are great numbers!

Where did you guys source your louvers? Couldn't find any on 3bay.

They pop up on there from time to time. They seem to be getting more and more expensive though.
Last ones I saw on lthere were coming from a guy that was hooked up with a Pontiac dealership in Michigan, I think. Keep watching, as he will probably pop up with more in a little while. John

^^^Thanx guys. It's an 80/80 - looks good from 80 feet at 80mph. It still needs a lot of work, but it sure is fun!

Thanx to CorvetteFan for this thread, Summit Cruisers for his thread, NLXTACY for the template, DrGil for passing it on, and MUD for the motivation to finally install these GTP vents that have been sitting in the garage for a couple of years, cheers! Keep the templates circulating!

Can't imagine why... :D
Before a year ago, not body wanted them, now a wolf pack of 80s drivers are hunting them down like wee little spring fawns...

I agree on the cost...I was recovering from surgery last year and searched every day on eBay...Found mine for a 45 bucks shipped. Anyone interested in the templet PM me

I am interested. I thought there was a regular "list" posted way back in the early days of this thread. Don't know if it was kept current. John
