The reverse light/backup light switch is rearward w/ yellow wire and rubber boot. The switch on top is a 4th gear switch(I think).
You should be able to test the reverse switch. As for the PO’s previous issue, I’d bet the barn door reverse light wasn’t grounded, thus not working. I ran a seperate ground wire on mine instead of relying on a path through the door hinges. With all that nice fresh you’re gonna need to make sure you’ve got good grounds.
I don’t think that’s a FJ60 tranny, I think it’s an H42. @Living in the Past or @65swb45 would know
Edit: remember to pull all those dirty switches apart and clean the innards before installation. AMHIK
I thought so too but it’s not too bad. Had I not caught it now I’d probably have problems later on.looks like pretty deep pitting in some spots on it?
I really like that roll cage. Did you make it?And here is an updated pic so far. Clutch is back in. Brakes hooked up but need to be bled. Dash components started installing. And steering column remounted. Oh, roll bar repainted shoddily and set it but not bolted yet.

Oh I agree, it’s the one the previous owner had on. I have the original I’m putting back on. Currently just getting back to running/driveable status.I like the build, but the steering wheel is butt-ugly
No. PO bought a kit then welded it together. I don’t know which one but I could check for some markings if you’d like?I really like that roll cage. Did you make it?
It's a Metaltech cage. They're pretty popular here on mud. I have one as well, I early like it.No. PO bought a kit then welded it together. I don’t know which one but I could check for some markings if you’d like?
