Good buy Dave.
I am interested to see what you are going to do for brake/clutch lines.

My plan is to get the tub sandblasted
Probably just reuse the existing ones, but I did buy a flaring kit and a brake line bender.
Luis, just need to buy the 10mm brake line and then copy the old ones. I think you can just rruse the fittings.Where are you gonna have it blasted at? I need to get mine blasted too...
I'd like to help when you do your brake lines since I need to either buy or make some...
Either with Enigma Coatings out near Jason's house or with Larry Aiken. When are you looking to do it? I'm hoping to drop off the tub this week.
I wonder what the 55 is thinking, in that last picture.
Who's lift is the "in" lift these days? I have what I think is a skyjacker lift that came with my FJ40, and it seems very tall, maybe 4 inch. Your off to a great start.
Maybe you should power coat the tub like the icons?
Mark,
Just my .02.... But if I were to do this again... AND I WILL OF COURSE... I'll just call Kurt (@cruiseroutfit )and get an OME, LIKE I SHOULD HAVE DONE IN THE FIRST PLACE!
Live and learn!!
J
I was thinking OME, on all the FJ40's I've ever owned, they all came with a aftermarket lift. So I've never purchased one. 2.5 is what Iam thinking with 33 inch tires. This lift seems tall.

Sitting on 33s my new ome 2 1/2" I'm at 21" at the same point as your measuring tape. I only have the engine in the frame. If you didn't want to spring for the new lift, it looks like your shackles are pretty long compared to stock or even the ome.
