@PabloCruise i haven't, but I will likely just go ahead and replace both while I am in there. I haven't ordered it yet though, we had a postal strike here that screwed up shipping on a bunch of things, so I will get back on this after Christmas.
I have the non-abs 80 master waiting to go in, pretty sure I read it will fit stock booster?
You will probably beet me to it.

So I think I should rename this build to I really hate electrical...

We are just above freezing during the days here and I did manage get the 80 series (non-ABS) brake booster and master in, even on the property you can feel the difference, so, on a roll i thought, I got after the lights - I suspect a bad ground somewhere, because isn't it always?

I gave up after a few beers and 90 minutes of chasing - as of now I have:
If I plug in the under column plug and the 4 pin above the brake, with everything turned off, I get brake lights,
If pull for headlights lights, they don't come on, but I get the brake and reverse lights
If i disconnect the brake pigtail, I get running lights and reverse

With pigtails disconnected and truck off, battery holds charge - my guess is the fault is in the rear loop somewhere - good times.

Sorted the electrical mostly, above the rear tire the blue/red for the reverse had fused with the green for the parking lights; seperately, when i put the new booster and master in, I hadn't sdjusted the swtich throw for the brake light switch - 4 hours of wasted time, but fixed. Just have the blinkers and dash switches for winch and eventual aux systems (light bar likely) left to sort and then the speedo connection. Also added some mounts to the con-fer rack, will get that cleaned up and then off to powder coat - think I will clean up the welds on the rear rack and sent that in at the same time.

Well, just for the heck of it, yesterday i went and started the insurance process, thinking that there would be challenges with a heavily modified almost 50 year old truck that has never been registered here... took 2 emails, 4 pictures and a fifth of the VIN - done, she is insured. This means registration is just a matter of paying for a plate. This also means, I really need to finish off those 'little things' and she will be on the road for the first time in likely a decade. The little things include stuff like seatbelts, wipers, securing the fuel pump and a bunch of I will get to that later items. We are getting a new puppy on the weekend, so I will use that as an excuse to work from home a couple of days next week and knock off what I can.

This is also almost to the day 5 years from purchase - my slowest build ever.

Puppies are so great!
Before you go and get that roof rack powder coated add some more mounts. At least in the back. That drip rail is so weak, the more the spread the better. Just my silly 2cents.

First Mud, first dent...
So, just drove it basically around the block here.. bunch of little things to now address, good news is she drives straight with hands off, engine sounds awesome, but some other noises to solve - bad news is the 35s on a flat dont clear the fenders at full turn, will be worse in anything technical... althougj the tires are moving the fenders out of the way, i should probably cut, change to smaller tires or do a shackle reversal... hmmm, i really like the 35s...
