1UZ used a controlled vacuum leak , by a switch that screwed into the pump that had a hose , that ran from the intake to one side and the air box on the other , later models that had a drive by wire system used a electrical switch . to tell the ecu to idle up . it depends on the year of the ecu you are running

Mine is a JDM @boomerthought maybe 95+ ls400, I was told celsior, but doesn't matter. The pump is plugged into the vacuum system, but I also have a second dangly line there. The ECU is a new Link Monsoon.

Got the computer hooked up and was able to track the temperature and such, all running as it should, fan kicks as needed which is reassuring. Far from done, but tooled around the property for a bit and gave it a mild stretch. Man the blackbox and dana 30 get the gearing low. Cable lockers will need some grease and some regular use, but they work. Trying now to marry the new harness to the existing gauge cluster. Then a bunch more little things. Snow pig:

So we have been getting up closer to the freezing point and I have been tinkering on the LCs, 40 got replacement rear leafs, and I am starting on its rear sill, but I also trying to advance final 55 things like my soft brakes.

I went with 4w disc, but I never addressed the booster, it's original I think and was there with the 55 front disks before, so I don't think it's a restrictive valve or proportioning - it's not hissing like there is a vacuum major leak, but doesn't mean there isn't one, could also be the valving in the master - anyway i am thinking of trying a replacement.

I have a fj40 one I could try, but wondering about something newer/bigger like one from an 80... anyone played with these re fitament? With the ABS removed on my 80, that unit had no problem stopping the 35s.
