The bracket is welded to the axle. The guys set up the caliper into the right place and then fabbed up the bracket to suit.

My clutch was gradually getting worse and just starting to slip, so bit the bullet and had it changed. I had thought about doing it myself, but after seeing the workshop guys struggling with it and a full day of labour, I'm pleased I let them do it! Once it was in and adjusted, I noticed some paint was peeling off, near the pedals in the driver's footwell. I initially thought some fluid had leaked through the firewall when they were filling and bleeding, but a closer look revealed that my master was failing! A trip around the shops today gave me a "no stock" answer for the Aisin master, but one of the shops had a Sanko Automotive replacement. With no other choice, I've just fitted it myself and bled out the air and old fluid through the slave. IT WORKS!!! YIPPEEEEE!!

She came back with a few battle scars - Those 35" tires are a bit too big when the springs are compressed. The sound of the tyres eating the front fenders is not a happy one! I borrowed them for the weekend, so I will change back to my 33's and look for something more suitable!

Man those tires look good on there. What is that blue beast? That is a narrow pass and oops for the black 40. :D Thanks for sharing!

The blue beast is a Volvo C303! These trucks have donated their axles to most of the 4x4's in Malaysia!! This one has been modified too, with 1J engine, 5 speed box, suspension upgrades and some other toys.

The sleeping black is a SWB Land Rover - there was a whiff of a beer smell...... Hehehe!

 does not go well with :steer:.........

And I think I see a foward-control Landrover there. (Those things are pretty rare here. I haven't seen one in the flesh for many years.)

Thanks for sharing Ian. Viewing Malaysian off-road pics is always a highlight for me!

Oh yeah, that's awesome!

That's a land anchor! The spade part is pinned to it when in use. No trees, no problem!

We even used it for trying to dig through a land-slide before!

Thanks.

Looks like a good design!
