Looking for the right rims (1 Viewer)

Hey everyone, i'm looking for some recommendations on a rim that would fit over disc brakes. These would also have to fit over locking hubs. This is for a 1973 FJ55. Thanks in advance!

Your 73 didn’t come with discs. Did you use 76-up hubs? Fj6x hubs?

Are you looking to stay Toyota or wanting to go aftermarket?

I'm doing a toyota mini truck conversion on the front. So using the knuckles and pieces of a 1985 toyota pickup. I don't feel attached to any particular brand just looking for some ideas. I was thinking something around a 16in rim, not sure on width of rim.

Toyota still sells the disc brake steel wheels. Usually you can get them from the local dealer for about $120-130 each.

Is it because of the rear overhang? They’ve always looked to have more than a 55, but I’ve never really seen one in person, so can’t say for sure.

What? Dafuq you talkin bout Willis? 35’s ain’t no monster truck and fawks were always given! But sometimes s#it did happen. I took mine all over the place where many a lesser 4x struggled.... hard.
