Electric using the stock H4 switch.I figured NV4500 from the shifter. I'll have an HF2A in mine. Does your's have vacuum or electric actuator for engaging 4wd?

I already part timed the case. Shifter “custom bracket” or should I dare say angle iron that I bolted to the trans top plate. I couldn’t come up with a way to mount the stock 80 shifter so I used a split case shifter from a 42 that Icut and welded back together. For the rod I used two from an 80 to make one longer one. There wasn’t much clearance due the center diff motor so it had to be up high. That's what I have too....we will do the same thing. Will you part time your transfer or leave it full time?
So did you make a custom bracket to mount the shifter for the transfer case? We are going to do that tomorrow on mine.....couple of bosses on the H151 that need to be tapped out so we can put the shifter housing forward....it's from an HDJ81 so the transfer lever sat behind the transmission shifter.

I borrowed a shifter from @bottombracket and found out that it’s a unicorn so I stopped searching. Galen could probably tell you what it came off of.
I believe so. When I showed it to Joe to see if he had another he just laughed.Cim- it was the shifter off my HF1A manual t case, right?

I couldn’t find one on Partsouq. I really should start saving VIN #s from random trucks to make finding certain parts easier. All is available new IF it's the same stuff I have. I'll put some pics up tomorrow. Took me a bit to figure out the differences. It gets confusing. My Troopy has the style I am going to use in it so I briefly got to see it before it went to the body shop(prison).
I have the same combo (transfer converted to part time) installed in a LJ-78. If I had moved the engine back one inch I could have used the crossmember’s holes, instead I had to drill new ones an inch forward. As far as shifter mechanisms I bought all the parts for another application which brought the shifters in the correct location. I did have to trim the pinch weld joint under the front seats to get the hole thing up as tight as possible, but probably was not necessary. I will try to take pictures when I get home this weekend. When I was doing all of this I had no idea that there was a HDJ-78/79. I also ran the exhaust inside the frame rail. That's what I have too....we will do the same thing. I have had every single one of those pieces in a partsouq cart, but never pulled the trigger because I wanted to be sure.
I have a top mounted shifter, not side-mount. Will have to see where everything lands in the cab once it arrives here in Austin.
I do the same thing. I order once a month adding stuff to my cart as I think of it. Sometimes it ends up being a small box full of stuff that isn't real exciting. Next month I order a roof which will be exciting.
Now on to another question. Are your rear springs matched to the front springs or are they different. I still haven't bought rear springs because I don't know what will be needed yet to match the 4" front lift. Right now with no bed on it sits pretty level with stock springs in the rear.
Wait, maybe that IS a side mount.
I have so little experience with 70 and 80 series stuff, especially the t case variants. Time to learn.
About $225 to ship using DHL which I don't consider bad at all.A top?? That's got to be a pricey piece to ship. Really cool.
