Do they do reproduction hardtop side panels?
If an European need parts he can not get here in Europe he has to buy in the US or Australia.Looks like a great option for Europe. Shipping the parts over here isn't the problem. The problem is always shipping domestically once it gets here.

Really no problem for an US guy to order in Europe & ship it to the US.![]()
Très beau travailCheap when you think about paying someone $120/hr to restore your truck. The probably average
2-4 yrs if not longer that most take to finally get around to restoring. The usual extra hundreds if
not thousands of dollars people procrastinate and pontificate trying to save $100 or $700 here or there.
if anyone could get off their butt to actually do the work, you'd find it would take a heck of a lot of hours
to do it.
Buying all done, ready for paint... probably a lot cheaper. My .02
I've rebuilt an entire tub for a FJ40. From the rails down. It's been years.... if I could have bought it complete then.
Damn right I would have,
There was a thread a few weeks ago on how to save money while working on/restoring a FJ40. Your comment is so correct and fitting. Everyone has skills but few have all the skills necessary to complete a vehicle on their own. One of the key skills lies between the ears.
They look great! Are the bodies only in steel or are other materials available as well?

I have not researched yet but what about shipping costs to us here in Australia?
Seems like Tseven is a somewhat better deal as you get the whole tub for a cheaper price. You can get a complete tub in stainless steel for the price of whoever the guy is that makes that 3/4 tub. And you can get a complete steel tub for 4500 euros.
So do u make them yourself?Tseven complete steel body is 5070 exclusive of taxe (body=4300+530 euros protection paint + 190 euros = 6084 including taxes) ...
our 3/4 is 3166 euros exclusive of taxe (3800 including taxes)
Most of the time front body is not dead, and can be repaired easily, and you are sure to respect the original shape , original gearbox covers, etc...
it is a choice...

Oh ok. I think the biggest issue with selling stuff to the USA is shipping. If some typical shipping ballpark prices were listed it would probably give people a idea of what the tub is going to cost. Having pics of the installation process and final result would also help. Especially when it comes to door alignment and body mount alignment.I just built Web site for him.
Owner of lekma. Mr mackel, make them himself.
Feel free to contact him.
