In case someone needs to see the orientation of the rear brake pads clips, here you go:

Here is a photo of the left outer pad with the wear clip installed on the bottom pad ear

Took me a while of googling to find that^ FSM cartoons don’t show enough detail. That pic helps.

the preferred way to leave skid marks:

for reference, with a slee diff drop, the center bolt needs to be M8-1.25 x 110mm

Bled the brakes this weekend, tech stream is super great! New calipers + Slee SS lines. I bled the chit out of it, used about 80 oz (including toping it off at the end).

Also have some of @CruiseLanderAZ 's shocks going on, Ironman ProFoam :)

I have bunged up the mounting points on mine as well. @TrailTailor makes some nice skids for them. He'll probably have them restocked after the new year. Nice build by the way.

thanks :)

tt’s skids are silly. There is a reason he’s blocked me from posting on his threads.

the @spressomon link mount reinforcement/skid is the way to go. Weld on a doubler, and a tube gusset

See this post for cred/more info:
And I finally got around to fabbing a pair of sliders for the frame side mount of the lower control arms; I'm done pounding the mounts back after every other trail run ;)

Thanks to IBCRUSN on the 80-Series forum for his idea (Rear Control Arm Mount Ramp/Sliders)! Mine didn't come out as elegant as his...I could have made them a little longer...but I used left over DOM scrap from the rear control arms project.

Hah, near instantaneous double posting of related posts 😁

I beat you to it by a minute! I felt bad tagging you in it without linking the post.

I think me and @JunkCrzr89 are going to make a set. I goofed an order of DOM tubing a while back and I've got some 4' sticks of .25 wall 1.25 dia that needs using

You mean you are going to make some while I drink beer.

Plz send invite to party
Dear Kyle,
Your presence is formally requested at the beer drinking, drunken weld fest, in the near future. Please bring your dentist bag.

love,
Joey

Getting after the front diff bushings today. I have a fair bit of play in the forward bushing and the drivers side support arm bushing. I decided to splurge and buy the two rear arms already loaded, so it's an easy swap... but I will be chiseling out the forward bushing in the diff cover. I am expecting a decent fight, but nothing like the lower control arm bushings... if i start drunkenly posting tonight, you'll know it was a bad bloody day!
