Here's another view

So do you know which land cruiser came with that h55 21 spline input shaft?

your H55 is the later with ears so your short list for the trannys parts are:
Nose/Bearing retainer 33131-60050
Gasket for the retainer 33132-60020
Oil seal for retainer 90311-32013
21 Spline input shaft 33311-60110

as far as stiffeners go, I'm not sure. maybe you could get someone to take pictures/post measurements. there are no crossover numbers for your bellhousing to your engine.

Tapage, please remove your post it is incorrect.

33311-60110 and 60111 are late 3B input shafts, the only ones produced that are long enough to fit the aluminum 3B bellhousing you are trying to fit. You need a long 3B input retainer for the throw out bearing to ride on and not drop into the clutch diaphragm.

I cannot see if your transmission is late or early as my eyes cant see "ears" on the input shaft retainer- the only telling sign that you have a late transmission. You MUST remove the fork and bellhousing to reveal the input retainer OR clean every piece of grime and shoot with a flash.

Rick, does this mean an H55 with the later 3B input shaft will be too long to fit a cast iron bell housing?

There are three pieces to mate a bellhousing to block. Stiffners, End Plate, and bellhousing. The block has holes fixed in the casting. These must match the bellhousing and the end plate (the black plate fitting behind flywheel on block). If the end plate and bellhousing match up,the stiffners align the bottom 4 holes so you have to get the RIGHT ones forthe bellhousing.

You have an 8 bolt crank and you will need (and can only use) a late blue block 13BT
or 3BII flywheel to fit within a H55 Aluminum bellhousing. Nothing larger will fit.

You should now take that flywheel and two piece bellhousing off the engine and remove it from all install thoughts (turn them into a dog bowl). You will not likely find a mega cruiser donor anywhere without an engine so erase alternate transmission thoughts.

h55 (3B - 13BT set up) to aluminum bellhousing system. That is all you are looking for

3b inputs are 3b inputs, they fit the cast iron or aluminum (original poster ignore this info, you do not want a cast iron bellhousing).

Bro thanks for that info. I will remove the fork and bell housing tomorrow after work and post new pictures. Thanks a lot

The "ears" are the small tabs located on the upper section of the retainer on either side of your input shaft. My illustration is of an early one without them.

Tapage, an HZ/HD-T input shaft part number will not work with a B series Bellhousing. You have listed an incorrect part number for this thread
