Installed my Lift this weekend and not all that happy :(

They are. Two stages

My plan if the rear springs get delivered with no delay is to swap out the rear springs to see how the suspension feels with the ICON springs and ICON 2.0 shocks. This will eliminate or prove the Radflo springs were the issue. Then I will replace the rear shocks with the new BOSS 2.5 remote resi shocks and see how things feel. I hope to be able to absolutely inform people if the 2.0's are inadequate even for a GX without a rear bumper.

Get yourself some spring compressors if you don't have any....springs are beefy.

Good. You need them for those springs and anything heavier. Your icon 3" expos on the right. MT medium LT center and the dobinsons super heavy I run for now on the left.

oh, then they might just slide right in if you disconnect the sway :)

I'm going to wager the springs will not be the issue - unless the spring rate of the Radflo's is considerably stiffer than the Icon's you bought. I seem to recall Eibach makes the springs for both of them, and there's likely little variation? Interesting experiment nonetheless, and following along...

The icon 2" springs will fit in pretty easily and won't need a spring compressor.

got my Dobinsons in today, but it will be a few weeks or longer before I can get them in, plus I will need to adjust the front at the same time with a diff drop and alignment

OK, so all of my new suspension is now in and I will be tackling the rear suspension on Sunday. I believe the rear suspension is where my issue is and I only have the one day to work on it so going to start here.

Couple of questions:
What is the torque for the upper and lower rear links? I remembered after my test drive last time that it is suggested to loosen these and tighten them back up after a lift. I couldn't find the info in the moment so I just went by feel from where they were at before I loosened them.

I am thinking my issue is the used RadFlo springs I put in so I am going to start with swapping the springs first and then test it to see if I still have the slinky feeling with the 2.0 Icon shocks. And then I will swap the shocks out with the new Toyotec BOSS 2.5 with Resi. Anyone have an argument to do the shocks first then the springs?

What a crap day! Trying to remove the rear Radflo springs my spring compressor broke one of the claws. Luckily nothing shot off so I was able to release the tension and remove them safely. So was going to have to hold off on replacing the springs but figured I could at least swap out the rear shocks. But the Toyotec BOSS TT-75110RR 2.5 shocks didn't come with any instructions and I can't find anything on Toyotec's website or online. The bolt that came with the reservoir bracket doesn't seem to fit anywhere in the back wheel well. Well at least there is football to watch.

Glad no one was hurt, I need to replace my rear springs, not looking forward to it by myself.

I'm reviving this thread because I'm not happy with my new rear OME 60004 shocks. I've read through this thread again to see what @Bluetribal did to fix his issue with the rear and I don't see the conclusion here. Maybe the conclusion went on another post?

Was it the rear shocks or the rear springs? Or both?

You are still on bags correct? So the only change is the shocks with your suspension. I can't believe they would not be a vast improvement over your old stock shocks. What setting did you usually drive in and what do you not like about the new feel of your suspension?

Sorry I have not concluded this thread. I have been crazy busy every weekend getting ready for my Moab trip this month. Changing the front suspension to brand new 2.5 Toytec coilovers helped a bit. Then swapping out the small 2" Radflo springs with the large and in charge 2" ICON springs helped even more. I accidentally bought 2.0 Toytec Boss rear shocks with remote-resi when I meant to buy 2.5's. So I haven't installed these yet to replace the 2.0 Icon shocks in back. So I am trying to sell the Toytec BOSS rear shocks on C.L. to upgrade to 2.5's. Then I will think I am much happier.

No worries, man; enjoy your upcoming trip to Utah. Update your thread when you complete your setup. I thought you were done.

At the risk of polluting your thread, I'm think my situation is not understanding what a good ride is on my new rear shocks. I need to get used to the new ride and I need to try a few things. I'm still only on air bags in the rear. The air bags were replaced by the PO about 5 years ago with OEM air bags, so they are not super old and they are tricked about 2" (over-inflated). Front is the same 6112s with 600 lb coils as when I bought the GX470 a year ago. That didn't change either.

First, the rear stock OEM e-shocks that I removed were on whatever "disconnected" setting they go into after you replace the front e-shocks. I'm GUESSING the rear e-shocks were on normal setting (not comfort, not sport). I pushed and pulled on the e-shocks and they still fight you, so they were still working. They weren't dead.

Second, the ride changed from jarring when unloaded to bouncy when unloaded on this particular residential paved street that's a little rough. I just felt like I was on a washboard road and I've been on that street and never felt that bounciness before. When I say unloaded, I actually have the 3rd row and the 2nd row seats removed and in the garage. I just carry two boxes of tools and fluids for the GX470.

I do think the OME 60004 rear shocks are doing their job, but I wasn't expecting a bouncy ride on that one residential street going about 30 to 35 mph. It's okay on the freeway. I just tried a single speed bump at Costco and it behaves right (it doesn't bounce at all on that single speed bump when the rear drops).

So, I need to load up a little like add the middle seats and throw another box of tools in the back. Try it again on that bouncy residential street and see if loading up makes a difference.
