No worries, man; enjoy your upcoming trip to Utah. Update your thread when you complete your setup. I thought you were done.
At the risk of polluting your thread, I'm think my situation is not understanding what a good ride is on my new rear shocks. I need to get used to the new ride and I need to try a few things. I'm still only on air bags in the rear. The air bags were replaced by the PO about 5 years ago with OEM air bags, so they are not super old and they are tricked about 2" (over-inflated). Front is the same 6112s with 600 lb coils as when I bought the GX470 a year ago. That didn't change either.
First, the rear stock OEM e-shocks that I removed were on whatever "disconnected" setting they go into after you replace the front e-shocks. I'm GUESSING the rear e-shocks were on normal setting (not comfort, not sport). I pushed and pulled on the e-shocks and they still fight you, so they were still working. They weren't dead.
Second, the ride changed from jarring when unloaded to bouncy when unloaded on this particular residential paved street that's a little rough. I just felt like I was on a washboard road and I've been on that street and never felt that bounciness before. When I say unloaded, I actually have the 3rd row and the 2nd row seats removed and in the garage. I just carry two boxes of tools and fluids for the GX470.
I do think the OME 60004 rear shocks are doing their job, but I wasn't expecting a bouncy ride on that one residential street going about 30 to 35 mph. It's okay on the freeway. I just tried a single speed bump at Costco and it behaves right (it doesn't bounce at all on that single speed bump when the rear drops).
So, I need to load up a little like add the middle seats and throw another box of tools in the back. Try it again on that bouncy residential street and see if loading up makes a difference.
