My passenger blinker housing fell out again and was just hanging by the wire. Luckily I had just overnighted some parts from Japan -

I thought the plug looked familiar, so I went and checked, and sure enough, the turn signal plugs right in and works.

I thought I'd read that I'd need new sockets and plugs for the LX to work with Land Cruiser turn signals - but this was plug and play. Maybe that was just if you want to include the marker lights as well? Either way I'm happy this was unexpectedly easy.

Part number on the clear corners?

8151060490 and 8152060360. I couldn't find a complete set brand new, so I found a used set on ebay Japan.

Only you can make a simple clear corner photo look so good lol

Nice work on the truck. I’ve been quietly following your progress

Forgive me if this was covered, but did you have to hammer anything in the front wheel wells to fit the 34" tires on that wheel setup?

Hammering pinch welds is a necessity. Its a "1 banana" job.

I know you know this, because we have interacted in at least 2-3 threads about tire size, what fits, and what mods it takes... lol.

Truck is looking great @ikarus! Some sort of factory 55 link is on my list when my winch gets put on... hopefully this week, haha.

Yeah I do know that, but I thought that was only a requirement for 35's. He is running 34's with a higher than stock wheel offset (pushing wheels further out from the pinch weld).

Yup - just the pinch weld. I did it before though when I had 33s on +10 offset. It would have rubbed more with these taller tires.

Thanks dude! Nice, it's a quality piece of gear.

That's the only downside about going out west . . .

For real. That was the last time I'll ever drive on the Salt Flats. Fun once or twice but that stuff gets everywhere and starts eating at your car

If you want to see a lot of salt, come to Chicago during the winter haha. You would literally have 20X more salt on your truck than what you got in that picture!

Alright, at this point I've replaced a few components on the cruiser - steering rack, UCAs, swaybar links, o2 sensors, spark plugs, brake pads/rotors/calipers, brake lines, wheel bearings and overhauled the AC (recharged and replaced rotted lines.)

I'm going to pick up a daily and get the cruiser set up for just camping and offroading - drawers, a roof rack and a roof top tent. I also want to bite the bullet and finish the overhaul and try to avoid any parts failures far away from civilization.

What else would you guys replace now vs wait til it breaks? I'm thinking replace:
- Radiator, hoses (turning brown, tiny leak)
- Coil packs (I've been carrying a spare on trails, only had to replace one so far)
- LCA bushings (boots are torn, they're dry but ok for now)

I'm going to wait on starter and alternator, since I figure I should get some advance warning on those, right?

Anything else?

Awesome man! I’m very excited to see this next part of the build. Which RTT do you have in mind? I wanna get one too.

Seems like you're covering your bases pretty well! What kind of daily are you thinking about? Sedan? SUV? Truck?

If you wanted to be real meticulous maybe consider replacing the PCV valve & hoses while you're in there. Super easy. You mentioned you replaced the steering rack, did that include the return line back to the reservoir that is a notorious source for leaking? I just bought a replacement for mine but haven't gotten around to changing it out yet.
