Thanks WDE! Another buddy of mine bought the same compressor and has been pleased with it as well. We bought them at Northern Tool.

Like your truck I enjoy seeing the results of all your work. Congrats on getting your big workspace. I am happy for you and excited for the future projects you’ll share from in there
Thanks bud! Next time you're in town stop by and check it out.

I just noticed you put horizontal 2x6s along your girts. Smart to get your batting in there and have something to attach your wall metal to.

A little more progress tonight.

I haven’t posted in awhile because my progress has slowed tremendously. I have traveled the last 5 weeks for work and I ran into a snag when my plumber buddy showed up.

The faucet I purchased for my “farm sink” wasn’t really designed for that application. Although it showed up in my google search. After spending weeks trying to find the needed mounting hardware, I threw in the towel and bought the correct unit for my application. After the new one arrived, complete with mounting hardware, it took 20 mins to install. 🤷🏻‍♂️

While I am waiting on my plumbers next visit, which should be next weekend, I started working on finishing the south end of the room complete with trim.

Yesterday I stopped by Lowes and picked up 1600# of quickcrete for the next phase of exterior work.

Ledge at base level over metal?

Thought everything was on wheels Mike. Sink and heater??

@ceylonfj40nut CD I am having a stone wainscot installed on the 2 sides and the front. It would be difficult to have a mobile sink ;-)

Cell phone signal is not good with the doors open and non-existent with the doors closed.

My shop is kinda in a hole to begin with but I also have nothing inside - with or without the doors open.

I have just started to research these cell signal boosters. My ultimate solution will be to run fiber optic down and connect a WiFi hotspot off the house system but that's a bit down the road. In the meantime it might be worth a few $ to try one of these. Pretty sure I have a decent signal on the roof of my shop - just need to get it inside.

They work well. I have had a system installed for about 5 years in a metal shop. And that is with poor signal outside to begin with. I can’t remember the brand at the moment. I’ll have to climb up to ceiling to look. It was $400 IIRC

Take a look at a WIFI bridge to get your house signal into the shop. Not sure if these are exact same as I installed but same brand. One hard wired in house pointing towards another outside shop/hardwired to access point in shop. Simply replaces ethernet cable with wireless signal and works great.

Amazon product ASIN B00HXT8FPS

There’s also those “power line adapters”. I haven’t touched a set in over 10 years, but even back then they worked good. I do not know their limitations, on distance, but I bet you’re not too far.
