I don't need the stand or the jack in the near future. Listen to Dan. I even have a pair of copper washers since I suspect you dropped those too. You know you want to hear the engine run. Or, I can deliver.
well, it sounds like Onur found one and is handing it off to DD at AmToy. Let's see if this works out. Stay tuned...
edit: SUCCESS! The fuel system is now complete and I can continue with the task of straightening the radiator and A/C condenser fins. So far, it's going on for 1.5 hours and still more fins to straighten!
Holy cow, it takes FOREVER to straighten fins in an 80 using a screw driver! Let's see there is the radiator, A/C condenser and the AT cooler. These things take a beating from years of getting abused by road grime and rock chips. They're mostly straight now and cleaned with water and Simple Green. The runoff water was so nasty I tell you what! Tomorrow, the radiator will go in and I can finish up w/o any further issues.
Thanks again for the Banjo bolt Onur and Dan for transporting it to the house! Also, thanks to Jon for the offer of bringing it to our house.
I don't know. He sent me a message last night that it was alive, and that today is for a test drive. But it's 7:48AM and nothing. Pics or it never happened!
Yup, she's running. Will do a coolant change before long, along with:
- swap tires back to 285s
- finish installing Pioneer speakers and close up the door panels.
- re-install the driver seat
- clean up inside
- install sway bar (stole it and put it on mine!)
Motivation is running low. It's freaking windy up here and gotta keep the door closed and that leaves hardly any room to move around in my TINY garage
Engine turned 500 miles so it's time for an oil change. So far all is well; no leaks, no CEL, no weird sounds or anything else. We'll be going on a camping trip shortly with the camper so hopefully I'll be able to tell if the mpg or hp improved in any way.
