I guess it will have to be worth the 2 hour drive each way then. I was hoping to not make this an all day adventure.
I found, finally, that BrakeQuip sells the 14mm 1.5 nuts and some fittings but not direct to the consumer. There is a dealer much closer than any PnP.

This *may* be what you want.

Well. Revolving thread.

Thanks for trying.

I was able to locate the 14mm fitting in a couple placed at the pick n pull. Which took me a total of 8 hours and cost me $2 at the pick and pull and about $40 in gas to get there and back plus beer for the guy who came along with me.

I found it in a Mazda (and I did not recall which one) as well as in the a 1986 Camry. In the Camry it was neither line that ran to the pump but instead it ran between the rack and pinion and the steering box back against the firewall and was a bitch to get to. I also found it very easily accessible on an Acura.

I would like to put a bubble in the line to assist in holding the rubber line in place (opposite side of the fitting) but I have no idea how that is down.

My buddy and I did have fun wandering around the PNP. I have never been in one because the few in ATL are so far. Guys yelling at their wives who are supposed to be monitoring the tool box so nothing goes missing, every so often the "WOOHOO" when someone finds something they have been searching for for a while. And then the random Mexican who came up to me asking if a certain Ford gauge package would work on some other random year Ford all in Spanish. I guess I looked like quite the pro :wrench:. Little did he know.

 sounds just like the Omaha pick-n-pull we went to several years ago - that was for a Chevy rear tailgate window crank :hillbilly:

success was had, but the experience convinced me of purchasing on-line or from the dealer, rather :flamingo:

it's always the same: you either have time OR money, never both :meh:

You can get a tool called a tubing beader ($$$) to make that bubble or just flare it.

Cool. I was unaware the nomenclature. I will not buy one but have been curious how that was done. The local hydraulic place is pretty decent though they could not come up with the fitting. I may slide by there and see can they put a "bead" in the tube. The other option, as you mentioned, is just a slight flare.

It was a pretty fun day all in all but pretty expensive in time especially. :meh: I did also score a couple VSS plugs for my electric speedometer and learned some stuff about Mazdas, Camrys, Acuras and Sebrings. :flamingo:

Hugh, you can use a brass ferrule from a compression plumbing fitting, solder it on your tubing and it creates the profile almost perfectly and hose will not slip off.

bumping this because I think I'm having a similar problem. Take a look (and yes, my rag join is up for replacement, too):

Down right newbish with ps setups, but the PO of my 40 called it mini truck. Does this leak appear to be a bad input shaft seal?? Anyone have a part #?

Thanks!

It does not look like the fittings. They look fine. My money is on the seal.

Thread bump: so I have an oddball ps box here and have acquired the return nipple from jt outfitters they sell specifically for this solution BUT it seems the little brass ferrule that was in the return line fitting is gone and I have no idea where to get it. JTO sells the brass ferrules but they are for the LARGER port. I am hoping someone can help with a toyota part # of source for a brass ferrule for the smaller return line port. I am dead in the water here and need a solution but have no idea where to source this specific ferrule. Thanks. Noah
