That looks great.
Did you change the rear shocks when you replaced the fronts with Dobinsons? I'm looking to do the same with tricking the bags to start. Wasn't sure if the stock shocks and the new shocks would match on their compression and rebound rate.
I didn’t change the rears at all besides tricking the airbags. The ride is much better than it was with the stock fronts. I’ll be converting the rears to springs soon; have variable rate Dobinsons (c59-675v) sitting in the garage

I plan to do the exact same, but probably going with OME. Thanks for the feedback.

Do you have a pic from the front showing how much these stick out from the fenders? Looking at getting the same tires and just curious I cant find a pic anywhere
The tires are essentially the same width as stock so the poke is from the wheel offset

Wheels: OEM TRD Pro wheels
Tires: 275/70r17 General Grabber ATX (32.2”)
Lift: Ironman stage 2 kit
I had to trim the front inner fender due to rubbing at full lock when backing up. I’m thinking about running 255/80 or 285/70 for my next set but don’t know if I want to do the body chop.

On the OEM TRD pro wheels? Is there a certain offset or size we are looking for? Going to call the dealership but not sure what size to tell them

The wheels to my knowledge only come in one size and offset off the trd pro 4runner. 17x7
Yep, only one size. 17"x7" +4mm offset. Don't be fooled by Chinese knockoffs on Ebay.

Two color options:
Matte Black:
Part Number: PTR20-35110-BK

Matte Gray:
Part Number: PTR20-35110-GR

Edit: also, check dealership stock online. Prices vary from $170 - $200+. I bought mine from a random dealer in Ohio on Black Friday a few years ago for $150 a wheel.

nice setup there Kvman. I'm looking to do the similar as yours and I see your in southern orange county, did you do this yourself or used a shop? If you used a shop, do you mind sharing that info? thanks Kvman.

I’m looking to have a lift done to be able to run 35s and your rig looks great and the total parts list is shorter than some of the other ones I’ve been reading about?
I’m a newbie so some of the terminology is not clear to me as to exactly what needs to be done to get a lift that will be able to run 35s.
I’ve seen a body chop as part of it, and so many combos of lift parts, it’s confusing to what is overkill and what you need to make a forest road/urban rig able to get the 35s.
Gearing I understand. Thanks

Wheels: Black Rhino Arsenal

Looking to get a set of Rhino Arsenal's on mine!! According to their fitment guide for the Lexus GX470 you need the 17x9.5 with +12 offset. But the only other Lexus GX470 I've found with these Rhino Wheels on them were the -18 offset version of the same wheel! ( 2008 Lexus GX470 Black Rhino Arsenal Toytec Lifts Suspension Lift 3" | Custom Offsets )

I don't want to start a thread unnecessarily but don't want to drop $1000+ on wheels I can't return until I'm sure. Can anyone provide any insight please! Thanks!

Tires: 285/75R17 (34") Toyo Open Country ATIII, load range C

Wheels: Tandem 612 Charlie 17x8.5 -12mm offset

Lift: Bilstein 6112 w/650lb springs in front (second to highest perch), Bilstein 5160 w/Dobinsons 677v springs in rear for ~3" lift

Other: Body mount chop, front wheel well fenders repositioned forward, running board delete (RRW sliders), and Wheeler's superbumps

Looking great. This post was extremely helpful as I am running FJ (moog) rear springs and I have 5100's waiting to go on the front but couldnt decide on which springs to run in the front. I assume youre running the 2.5 toytecs?
I just added bilstien 5100's, emu coils and sso coil conversion pads to my GX 470 for a about a 2.5' lift. I ordered Falken Wildpeaks 285/70/17's a couple days ago. I see you have or had the same set up a couple years ago. How did the tires work out for you? I see a lot of good reviews but now that I have them ordered I've found a few bad reviews. Thanks
