Im looking forward to working on my Lx again, its been way to long.
Im also gearing up to do Turf-N -Surf 2025 at Oceano Dunes this Oct 31st
@Broski @ToyotaDon and @Noahrob come join the fun
Getting the travel trailer ready also, it needs 5 new tires & 2 batteries.
Thinking I'll take the ones from the Lx & get 2 new ones for the Lx.
I want to get the Odessey AGMs.
That's great, I'm excited to see you & catch up on things.I got my reservations, too!
I'm using a 50 Amp resetable fuse, # 2 wire to the fuse and #4 wire to the compressor. and the hand throttle you speak of.It's super close to everything, but fits. The wires need to be finalized next. But I did use it to seat the 39s on the new wheels. I used a stick on the throttle to get the volts up to 13.8 volts. Its surprisingly quiet. I ordered a JDM twist throttle kit, it will be here on Monday.

I run my puma without the tank. Performance wise I don’t think it matters. My twin ARB has always been lacking with tire filling duties, maybe because it didnt have a tank, not sure.
Ive heard so many good things about the PUMA PD1006 that comes with a 1.5 gallon tank.
The ARB twin maybe would have done better with a tank; we will find out soon enough later in another post side by side performance results.
For now this how and where it fits.
I ran a #4 awg to a 60A breaker then #4 awg to within a few inches near the Puma.

This thread helped me install the JDM idle twist lock.
Possibly for the FAQ:
This week I installed the Toyota Hand Throttle in my 96 LC so I can keep the RPM up for winching, jump-starting, and in my immediate need, keeping the RPM up while allowing my LC to warm up and circulate distilled water for a coolant flush sitting in the driveway.
I purchased this kit:
GENUINE Toyota Land Cruiser 80 Series Hand Throttle Kit OEM
He shipped right away and I had it within 5 days of ordering. There may be others out there, but on a quick search, I could not find it in NA or on partsouq. There's one vendor that claims to have them, but I will...
Ether and a match works to reseat a tire bead like nothing else.I run my puma without the tank. Performance wise I don’t think it matters.
Where a tank shines is if you need to reset a bead or run air tools.
But the Puma tank won’t get you far running air tools.
It will be fun to do a side by side comparison
