I have wanted these for about 9 years.
They were under $300 back then now I've seen them $550 per

Not surprising as there made in china.
Expect to pay more for a lot of things 😔

I didn't realize it till I put one on my spare they are the 17x8.5 4.75" BS version 105s.
My bad. I should have measured when I picked them up.
The tread will sit same as stock 16" wheels, that's too close to inner fenders in rear & the 39s will rub the front control arms & exhaust pipe.
So I need to decide to run these with 1.5" spacers to sit same as my 17x9 3.5" BS or sell them.

I'm seriously bummed. The whole point of the purchase was to get away from spacers.

The Puma has been a great compressor for me !! Highly recommended. Check out my build page for how I mounted in the rear quarter panel.
Is that a mini fridge? Looks cool and the price is right. Got a link ?
I already have reservations at the dunes 😎 looking forward to hinging out with you again! Been a long time.

The Blue one is $219 Orange is $189

I looked at your early air compressor install in your thread, you have a lot of pages. What year did you install the Puma?
I have the twin ARB in with a WittsEnd quarter panel mount, I will leave it there but plan to mount the Puma on driver side rear fender well in-between spare tire. This is the Arizona Boys traditional spot.

Damn, that front wheel/tire combo brings the fun!

Where do you plan to mount the compressor? I’ve given thought to mounting my Extreme Outback compressor inside on the new build.

Right here Stevo.
Like the Arizona boys do...
You should mount yours in the right rear quarter panel like @Broski & many others.

I think mine is too big to fit in the quarter panel. It’s rated to mounted under the vehicle like it was for some years. I may explore ways to mount it inside. Takes up cargo space though.

That's great, I'm excited to see you & catch up on things.

I'm still working on the fridge project, but since I have 2 center consoles & daily drive my rig I thought having a frig in my rig 24/7 is not practical. So here is what became of the fzj80 console.

The Puma mount is up next...

It's super close to everything, but fits. The wires need to be finalized next. But I did use it to seat the 39s on the new wheels. I used a stick on the throttle to get the volts up to 13.8 volts. Its surprisingly quiet. I ordered a JDM twist throttle kit, it will be here on Monday.

I'm using a 50 Amp resetable fuse, # 2 wire to the fuse and #4 wire to the compressor. and the hand throttle you speak of. ;)

My twin ARB has always been lacking with tire filling duties, maybe because it didnt have a tank, not sure.
Ive heard so many good things about the PUMA PD1006 that comes with a 1.5 gallon tank.
The ARB twin maybe would have done better with a tank; we will find out soon enough later in another post side by side performance results.
For now this how and where it fits.

I ran a #4 awg to a 60A breaker then #4 awg to within a few inches near the Puma.

This thread helped me install the JDM idle twist lock.

I run my puma without the tank. Performance wise I don’t think it matters.
Where a tank shines is if you need to reset a bead or run air tools.
But the Puma tank won’t get you far running air tools.
It will be fun to do a side by side comparison
At Turf & Surf 😉

Ether and a match works to reseat a tire bead like nothing else.
