Head For the Hills Fresno Club 2017 in Blue Canyon

We headed For the Hills a 3 hour commute early Saturday morning to Blue Canyon for the Fresno 4x Club Run it was a very long day, but we'll worth it. As my oldest kid & I were walking around talking with people before the start we came across two other 80 series owners @brosky & @Noahrob that are actually on ih8mud.com. So we did the run together along with two Yota rigs. It was a great time of wheelin & talking about wheelin. It was a long day but it went buy fast... does that make sense? Here is some pics & vid. Enjoy.

Those are the kind of long days you wish would come along more often.

Yes it was a long day that buzzed bye super fast. We made a day trip out of it. 3 hour drive there wheeled all day then 3.5 hour trip back. Left the house at 5am & got back at 10pm. Wow. My Lx450 did all that without any problems. The 80 series rigs are amazing!

Yes A good time was had by all, was there 3 days & 2 nite and it went by way to fast. I all so figured out why my front end was making noise. A bent control arm, caused the bushing to walk & self-destruct.

Dam I was just kicking my self for spending cash to fix/ replace the stock arms, bushings & caster plates that could have went towards a 3 link:deadhorse:

No need for big hammer... one can fit 37s without a hammer. It's all about bump stops & wheel backspace. If done correctly one should be able to drive down the street on the bump stops without coils & no rubbing.

Sorry to here that... looks like you are getting some control arm axle bracket to control arm bind. Have you done any grinding to skinny up the control arms? You might be able to bend it back... I hear they are soft & bend easily.

Yo Gary
Best I can tell, It was big fricken rock. You can see between 31 & 34" the offending rock rash. I was able to pick up a used control arm form another Mud member 35 buck plus shipping. I not seeing the bind mark's you are talking about. Grinding to skinny up can you explain ?

Brosky

Here is a pic that shows the control arm hitting the axle bracket.

After grinding... arms do not touch brackets now.
