If you are up for a "tail of the dragon" trip, there is one being looked at sometime in the spring with a bunch of P guys... I'll let you know how that one comes together too. That's a "must do" someday.

Just did it. :grinpimp:
Fontana Village is the place to stay. Great drive up and nice place. Always has sport car guys hanging out.
A bunch of us British (LBC) car guys did it in Sept. TOD is about 10-15 minutes from there.
Did you see my video of the Caterham 7 my old friend has?
0-60 in about 3.2 seconds. Devil's Fork , where we shot that clip, is about 10 minutes from here.
If you wanted to do a nice little drive there are several great roads nearby Pumpkintown.
Check out the Ceasar's head video.
Give me a pm if you ever want to do a fun public road drive one weekend. The P will love you for it.
;)

Gundy, that was awesome...you were all over those guys in the turns.:steer: Was the gear swap that much better. The P's were just walking away from you in the straights.:meh:
I would love to be able to do that one day. (only with my own car, of course):steer:

The P vs AH video was NOT me. I do note his set up is not quite mine. 1293 him vs 1380 me.
The AH in that video is clearly tricked out while the Ps look stock.
My gear swap was was back to original set up that came with the car when it had 41hp
and a top end of 65mph. ;)

Couldn't find the Ceasars Head video you mentioned, but did see a couple others while searching. I think I did that one last year in the Z. Steve told me about it when I was up there last fall and I detoured up a road on my way back.

That video wouldn't be as popular with my P buddies as it is for your bugeye friends. :grinpimp: Was good stuff though.

If you guys go on a TOD run or something like it, I'd like to tag along. I an now the proud? half-owner of a 1986 MB 560SL. Would love to drive in some turns and see what it would do.:steer::steer:

Very nice! Maybe we work into it in the SC mountains. That's a lot closer to you, and me for that matter. Things go well and we just keep on driving to TN. :D

Mimi gets a make over

Just got her back from a 2 month stint in a paint/body shop.
TK Motorsports in Pickens did the work. Pics on the website
of the body work.
.::TK Motorsports::.
I installed a new panhard link and a tubular anti-sway bar
from Speedwell Engineering.
New ultra light weight wheels and Dunlop's ultra sticky
Z1 Star Spec tires.
Next up is a chassis dyno run for a fine tune.

The weather is getting nice for a trip. Went on a picnic and photo shoot last weekend.
So many twistie choices around here.
Lets get a ride up.
You can see my new fancy smancy front anti-sway bar in this pic. I call it and the rear
panhard rod "Tube Porn".
:grinpimp:
Screamin' Mimi is lean and mean now.
Dan, how's that exhaust coming?
