It looked like you had a lot of power at the lower end compared to some of those you passed. I knew the top end would be affected but you were moving along nicely!
I picked up a 1995 Porsche 993 C4 Cab, Euro suspension, Fister exhaust in Sept. Still need to get out and play. Did a drive in the N GA Mountains... was a blast! No rollbar so PCA events are out. Going to need to find some other way to get on a track. Noticed that they didn't require that on your ride, or a helmet for that matter.
Now that Sir is a serious toy!
I have a roll bar and a helmet but neither were required.
I also have a harness and fire extinguisher.
I left the helmet off so as to not look "out of place" among friends.
This was a special event thing for friends set up by
our friend Hap (2000 SCCA National Champ). HP class I think.
Normally an instructor leads the group on a "spirited"
session around the track.
Hap lead us instead.

Nothing serious, just some good fun. No turn passing and we all
understood to let a car which could overtake you get by on the straights.
Stick yer hand out and hold your line and speed and let the
overtaker pick his pass. Again it wasn't racing.
There were some Porshe guys there and a group of Euro Tuner things.
Motorcycles too. Heck a Ferrari took a hot lap.
Hap says you can join a sort of Carolina Motor Sports club for like $250
a year and get track time that way too. I'm going to look into that.
This spring I plan to do Walter Mitty days at Road Atlanta.
Similar thing. Non-competitive track time.
That might be just the ticket for you. I understand they'll let you
run about any safe thing on the track. I laughed with some guys and threatened
to take Ol Gundy, the FJ40, to that event.
That toy of yours would be a REAL BLAST on a track.
I'll pm you next time we get together for some fun runs involving curves.
