nothing highlights the minor defects like brand new...MOAR NEEDS MOAR!!!

It's alive, IT'S ALIVE!!!! Braking still needs some adjustments (pedal travels too far until it really bites), but it drove awesome! The suspension is SO nice. Quiet, not real lean in the corners and driving down our moon crater alley was pretty smooth! Thanks @reevesci
Steering is MUCH better than before after the rebuild. Nice and smooth and responsive, for a tractor. My wife got the honors of course for the maiden voyage, she is happy so I am happy. :D

We love it, no lean and rides smooth. Now I need to slap on that aftermarket front bumper you sent me a long time ago. Looks weird with nothing up front.

I know how different a vehicle looks with missing front parts. I was getting parts together for finishing the FJ60 front clip installation onto my '89 FJ62, but was driving the vehicle to work every once in a while. One day I pulled up to the gate at the entrance to the site and the guard asked me "When are you going to bring the rest of your vehicle to work?"

Chase stoked for you. Getting to drive after hours of work if an amazing feeling. Just about ready for a Wagon Run! @Kleatus
Thanks! Could not have gotten to this point without your help

Haven't had a lot of time to mess with the cruiser but hopefully tonight. Received new extended sway bar links from @reevesci a couple days ago. The plan is to install the bars and links tonight. Pics to follow!

Other projects that need to be completed soon are:
Install front bumper
Refurbish AC system (which will require taking the HVAC apart :worms:)
Valve adjustment and replace valve cover gasket (is leaking oil all over the manifold and smoking)
Do oil galley plug fix

Good day overall. High stress but high productivity at work today, came home and finally got the sway bars installed. New parts from @beno and new links from Jason. Good stuff. :D  to you both!

Cruiser looks AMAZING!

Congrats man, I know you've been working on for a long time to get it here. I hope you drive the hell out of it now and you and your family have a blast.

Keep us posted.

Cheers!

Thank you Ed! That is certainly the plan now! :) The goal is to not have it down for so long anymore and plan projects better so I can complete them in a week or two. I missed driving this beast. :steer:

First time adjusting the valves on a 3FE. What a pain, I miss the simplicity of the F motor! :D
Most of the valves were too loose. Good to finally get it done.

Now to clean up this dude and give it a fresh coat of paint, new gasket, grommets and bolts.

Did you adjust them warm or just do it all cold?
Heated the engine to operating temp. Then shut it down and got at the valves as fast as possible. Took about an hour. It was hot in the garage from the day already so that helped keep them engine hot longer.

New AC components on there way thanks to @Coolstream in AZ. Getting a 14x26 parallel flow condenser to compliment the r134a. New compressor as well with new 134a compatible oil and a drier. I am not looking forward to tearing into the dash to tackle the HVAC!
