Got any pics to see how it looks?

I don't want to hijack Dustin's post so here's a link to a few pictures on my build (post #450). With the Painless or EZ wiring harness, it was an easy-plug and play connection to light controls and turn signals because they all just plug into the connector from the column. I haven't found the cruise control wiring yet for the column (haven't looked) to hook up to the few cruise wires for the ECU.

Working on some minor stuff. Rust repair on the tailgate weatherstrip flanges, and finishing stripping the underside in preparation for some paint. It’s like a continuation of last summer. Thought I was done with this stuff already.... WWSDD? Remember to have fun...🙂(🤨)

You planning to blast the body with anything before prime/paint or just old school manual prep?

It's not hard to lose sight of this right about now. I tried to keep working on something every day or the feelings of not finishing it started to creep in. Enjoy all the little victories.

Just keep moving forward, you got this!

Yeah, the overwhelm of “project remorse” likes to creep in on me now more often, especially when I think about how much more there is to do. Never been without my baby this long. Haven’t even cracked into the budget yet. Thoughts of how to shortcut things want to be heard, but I keep telling them, no!

We all go through that spell. I almost never got out, but you'll get there and its a great feeling in the end.

Let me give you an example, you want (need) a part for the pig, there are some inexpensive parts available but you want (need) the best so you go ahead and get it ordered. A few days later when the UPS guy shows up your bride asked what’s in the box and you have to say “Pig Parts” and she’ll almost always follow that up with a “What did that cost”. You need to quickly grab the box and mumble under your breath “it was ONLY eleventy eight” and head out to the shop and open the box to admire your new part. If on the rare occurrence she comes out to the shop while you are admiring your new part quickly set the part down find a pencil and walk quickly with a concerned look or your face, if she asks about the new part just say” not now sweetie I need to do this thing before I forget” and keep walking.

This my friends is how I apply WWSDD and kept my pig build budget to just a titch over $5000.00

If you're real lucky you have a young blonde guy driving for UPS (Danny) and the wife flirts with him while you grab the box and leave. Nobody says a word. :)

Probably as much manual prep as possible, since it’s gonna have to be done in stages as I have no shop to keep a completely bare tub out of the elements until paint time.
I haven't commented much, but I've been following your great work on a regular basis!

This worked for me for my entire build and lack of garage. I did all of my prep and paint work in this cheap Harbor Freight car port.
