My dash pad is horribly cracked and trashed. I see that you can get something expensive from SOR, ,but has anyone done anything else to fix theirs? Any used ones out there? I was thinking about getting some dense foam and making my own, or maybe something could be made out of wood, although not ideal. What have you guys done?

there are slip covers that go over the dash - don't worry about how bad it is cracked, just put a new cover over it - less than $100 IIRC

New shipment due in TODAY!;)

Who has slip on covers??

don't know about a 55, but I have "slip"covered the dash of my 40. Someone here said, they wished they had bought the pricey new dash, but since my rig is for the trail, it is just fine with the cover. The roll cage bars also obscure the part where one would see the old dash peeking out on the side (about 1/4 to 1/2 inch).

Mine came with a plastic (vinyl?) cover. A well-done job looks pretty good, you can hardly tell. Cheap fix, and since it's something you have to look at all day driving, it makes you feel pretty good.
