After getting out of the hole, I strung together some resources to get a cityracer booster and an Advics Master Cylinder.

The old set up is horrible, absolutely horrible, and the booster was the size of a thanksgiving turkey. Absolutely atrocious.

This is how I feel.

All mocked up for the moment, waiting for @Cruddz to head on down to help button up the rest of this, before we review a mega fight on pay per view.

Question, since the new booster is significantly smaller, is there gonna be issues with the old brake line fitment on the new master cylinder? I don’t want the lines to bend and brake.

Ciao

Whoo hoo, my favorite thread. Moar!

What up fellas!

Shoot, man. My pig is just in hibernation, I’m so close to being complete it’s quite embarrassing. I just need to get my brakes done up and my steering wheel replaced to be a runner. As always, this thing would never be “complete,” but it appears that life has taken my focus away from this pursuit for the moment being.

I am trying to be do this whole fatherhood thing, while working full time and taking advantage of my job perks by getting a masters degree. I also want to go to Europe and see things that I never imagined, while trying to find a woman whom I can make more babies with. Yes, the cruiser world is one rich with support and inspiration, but my mind wanders through a vast landscape of interests, there’s really no telling what next interest I will indulge next.

Don’t get me wrong, I have no intention to willingly cough up this project, lest the pigpen think otherwise. I hoard these machines with dreams of running to the coffee shop, or the hardware store, or a fishing trip with a woman where clothing is optional. I have not reached the age where creature comforts are paramount, and I hope to stave off those urges as long as I can. I’ve been broke before, and these old land cruisers keep my mind grounded in humility.

I really appreciate your inquiries, I hope to pick up someday soon, especially since the finish line is literally a 12 pack of modelos away. Gratefully, I just hung out with this guy that’s barely getting into the cruiser world named @OGBeno , so maybe his youth and enthusiasm will spark my interest and give me a swift kick in the pants.

I hope he, and you all, sensed the sarcasm in that last sentence. Maybe updates will come down the pike, or maybe I will just post pictures of attractive women on French beaches or hot chicks in Spanish vineyards. The world is a beautiful place, the cruiser continent is an ocean away from my viewpoint at the moment, but just like mommas home cooking, I will be back for seconds.

All the best,

EG

12 pack of Modelos and a chance to get the pig running? Count me in chief.

I am not one to stretch the truth. I know my capabilities, what I can do, and when to admit I do not know a ******* thing about anything. Fixing brakes is something I’m not going to delve into and risk my life based on an assumption that I know what I’m doing. Due to the solicitation I received on this page recently, @yotadude520 offered to lend a hand, and things just kinda snowballed from there.

Will and I have kicked messages back and forth before, but he just kinda threw down the gauntlet to get the rig done asap. It was a welcome proposal, particularly since I haven’t been wrenching, and the stagnation of life had made me a dull boy. I was hungover on Sunday, and Will hit me, “we still on?” Sometimes people give you lip service when they ask to lend a hand, and don’t really come through when they offer to help. Additionally, I was feeling lousy, the hangover vibrating around that liquid film encasing my brain in my skull. So I said, if you got other plans, go ahead and we can kick this can down the road. He immediately said, no, this pig is running tonight. Well, I cant be a bitch now.

Will came over, and I got a 12er of Mexico select modelos, stashing in a cooler packed with ice. You can keep your IPA’s and your grandpas Busch light, Mexican beer is gods water. Will and I shared some stories and crushed some beers. Our religion is Toyotas, but we practice our faith differently. He believes in transplanting power plants for functionality, practicality and speed, while I believe Mr. T only intended for his cars to function with the parts they were assigned at birth. This political differences aside, will is a great guy, and we made an inventory of things to do:
Steering wheel
Brakes bled

Ok. Time to get to work…
