We have it now. It’s a ‘75, 4 speed, 2F, mostly locked up drum brakes all the way around. Lots of rust. The rest of the BFGs are about to explode. It has a TBI unit on it, which is interesting, maybe an old Downey unit? It’s the customers wife’s truck, it was in Hawaii, then moved somewhere along the Gulf of Mexico. That’s all I know about it.

Better than a "Keep your eyes out for a stolen pink Pig in Alabama" thread...

I would do the same thing. I actually stopped to help a broken down built 80 series on the side of the road in White Pigeon, MI last year. You just never see any Land Cruisers around here and I told my family I have to see what's up. I think the husband and wife that owned it thought I was crazy, but I got it running for them and saved them some headaches and a tow bill. They didn't know much about the rig and definitely just bought it that way. I told them when they get tired of it to call me and I will buy it. Cruiser karma.

A broken one is worth $2500 right?!?

Tell them you got an easy out button if they need

My brother sent me this pic earlier this year. Said it never moves and was always at this house in Mobile. I thought it was memorable because you never see older LCs down there.

We lived a few years in the Dauphin Way historic district. That can’t be too far away given the historic plaque on the wall.

Yeah, my mom lives in downtown Mobile, so it’s definitely in that area. I could find out exactly where this 55 is/was, but then I’d be confirmed stalker status.

That was a truly spectacular tire failure. I wonder what that sounded like!? That pigs rear bumper is rad.
