This is progressing fast!!

What he said

It looks like it's going fast.... Squirreling away parts is the easy portion.

Carl and Drew @just differentials sent me tracking this evening for the gears, lockers and CrMo axles. I have a guy coming tomorrow to give me an estimate to dustless blast the body and jambs. Ballpark estimate was 600$ over the phone and said it would take about 1-2 hours.

It cuts like butter. One of the best tools I ever bought.

I've owned three. I bought the 1600 in 94. I gave it to a friend when I upgraded to the 1800 in 2000. In 2004 I bought the 3000.
All three still work great. I have two Ellis drill presses. I'd buy their tools again

I have the 1800 and its more saw than I need, but it sure makes quick work of 20 sticks of material.

I don't know if there's any such thing as too much tool. I have a couple 9000 series drill presses and they'll toss a 50lb Kurt 3 ft off the table or snap a 1" bit without hesitation. that doesn't stop me from wishing I had picked up a 12000 while they were available.
The only real difference was a bigger table which I occasionally wish I had.
I recommend the Ellis drill press. I remember when I went from a Dayton to the Ellis my first reaction was fear. Mine are older so they have DC
motors. Full torque at all RPM. I was used to stalling the Dayton if I had a firm grip on a part vise. Not possible with the Ellis

Sorta like Xmas today....

Winches (yes two), CrMo front and rear axles, gears, one of the ARB lockers (other is in transit still) ARB compressor and some of the Baja Design lights.

Batwing and straight awning with wall and floor kit is set aside. Hard top tent is set to the side as well.
