Love Ron Davis radiators, used them in my 55, and other projects.

I would ask them to do it without the trans cooler, so you had more size for engine cooling, and then use a divorced trans cooler with a thermostat.

Looking at radiators now. Leaning towards a custom Ron Davis.

@scottryana thoughts from your experiences?

Cool, When I call them I'll ask some question on their suggestion for this.

Thank you,

Jason

Let us know what they say. I don’t know what Chevy does with their transmissions but I don’t recall ever hearing about them running a cooler/warmer through the radiators.

Are you going to go engine fan or electric fans?

They run through the radiator.

I'll probably follow Stan's lead as he's run the RD radiator with incorporated cooler and electric fans.

If you are talking clearence as in height, those are really just a Hummer H3 pan. It will hang lower than what came on the LS3.

No as in clearance (front) of sump its a couple inches shallower. Depth is ~1.250" deeper.

Erod came with a Camaro pan

The H3 pan is very close to the tie rod with the suspension compressed. IIRC, Marks "swap" pan is an H3 pan like you bought, but has been chopped on for that reason. I'm sure you've done your homework.

Ive done a little research.... The Mark's is still bigger than this pan, PLUS you'll pay an additional 241.00usd for Mark's as well after shipping.

This pan with all the goodies included is 206.00 shipped to my door.
