Well ............... due to California emissions BS...... the trade fell through. But made a deal happen anyway with same buyer. Dingo is getting a few things done and then will be headed to his new home.

So, FORD refused to meet the increased CARB standards in IIRC 2024 and FORD pulled every F600 sitting on lots for sale out of CA for a couple years. In March 2026 FORD agreed to the standards ( I assume because of the lack of sales) and the F600 is legal to purchase in CA now. (SOME SCANDALOUS $HIT IF YOU ASK ME)

BUT....................... CARB inspection, clean truck shops, REFs; etc.... won't touch them because "if they weren't legal then.........and nothing changed with those chassis' ......... why would they pass now- REF comment". So from what I gather from my local REF is that its a "IMO a grey" CA vehicle now... No one is willing to lose their SMOG/CARB license for " interpretation of compliance" and a $20-$50K fine for passing one on top of that.

I just couldn't deal with the stupid s*** of CA and to roll the dice to not be approved. But thankfully we found another solution to agree on the sale in the end.

Oh wow good thing the f600 wasn't allowed in California. Im sure it would totally ruin the air quality far more than all the forest fires.
