Got my USB charger and it’s right at home on the dash. I already had a different USB charger so all I had to do was swap the leads - took under a minute to install. If you have to run your own wiring, I bet it would take about 20-30 minutes.

Currently installing my CH USB charger, and curious where people are supplying power and ground?

My cig lighter has been inop forever, so I stole the red lead from there and grounded to a dash bolt, and not working, although the install manual says to use a 10A fuse and the factory cig lighter is 15A. Would prefer to tap an ignition fuse source so it's not always backlit.

Could you replace the 15A fuse with a 10A? Or add a 10A fuse after the 15A?

I'll probably do that, but still not getting any power from the cig lighter lead. I'm pretty inept at electrical troubleshooting, so hoping someone else here who's installed has a solution that I can copy.

I'm not gonna be any help. I tapped the ignition to feed a fuse panel that's screwed into the driver's side kick panel. That feeds any accessories that I want to be ignition based.

Figured it out, the cig lighter itself must be shorted (I think there’s an internal fuse) and was blowing my fuse at the panel with each key on. I bypassed it completely, got a better ground location, and got the USB charger working.

Chaser FJ60, I sent you a message via your website, but haven't heard back from you. Please disregard this message if you have seen it and just haven't had time to get back to me. I ordered an FJ60 dash bezel from you a few months ago and finally got it painted up and ready to install. When I went to install some of the switches, I unfortunately realized that they are smaller than the standard Carling switches. So now I need to go with plan B, which is have you create a custom Ashtray Rocker Switch Panel for the FJ60 dash bezel. If possible, the switch panel would have 5 switch holes. A standard Carling in the center and four smaller holes, two on each side of the Carling. The smaller holes need to be 19mm wide, by 34mm high. Thanks.

Hi @ChaserFJ60 , would it be possible to design an FJ60 ash tray panel that could hold dual 2 1/16" gauges kinda like this Vanagon one? Or maybe even just have a solid ashtray insert that loop-style gauge holders could screw into? Thanks for considering.

There are numerous ways in which we can fit gauges to your FJ60. If you would like to discuss this further please reach out to me via my contact page and we can discuss all your options.
