You need to post side by side pics before and after, you have done a fantastic job of bringing that truck back from "farmall" stage..... Great work!

I have a scout steering set up that I will not have time to install before I leave the country and ship my 71 out on the boat---if you consider that a viable install for yours let me know and I will work out a very good deal for you
Thought I'd ask before I post it up in the classifieds![]()
What rear seat is that?
Cool rig man. Just came across your thread for the first time. I like the flat paint too. I am in the middle of a "rattle-can resto" as well. How's that lift working out? Do you mind telling us how much the skyjacker/bilsteins set you back?
Looks dang good man. Careful, looks like those rear shackles could invert at any second...
Ramon
Your Skyjackers look pretty new and are probably stiff as a board, but how do you like the ride with the Bilsteins?
FWIW, remove the bottom leaf from the rear springs for a while - it will help break them in and will improve that shackle angle. Mine were just like that when I first got the truck together. Additionally, I had to add shims to the front springs to get the caster right. It darted all over the place at first.

can you put up a picture of the rear seat mounting with hardware & with the seat folded & tumbled?
Seat is not mounted yet. I just set it in there for the pictures for now. I am going to try to have it mounted within a week or so.
what did you do for reenforcements for the mounting of the rear seat?
The seat will have 4 bolts to the floor. The front two holes in the seat frame are just fractions away from the two large existing bolts that hold your tub to your frame. I haven't done it yet, but I think I can slightly enlarge the holes in the seat frame to make those two body bolts work.
In the rear two holes on the seat frame, I will have to drill holes in my floor pan. I will also have to mount the two retractable lap belts also, so I am thinking of drilling and tapping a piece of plate steel for the bolts to pull against on the underside of the bed.
i'm looking to do a rear seat ant that one looks nice!
(btw, go back to freeborn red when you do it right) It was freeborn red and I will go back original if I ever completely restore. I am really kind of liking the utility of Krylon OD Green. If I ever decide to restore, I know it will be a sad day because I know I will quit using the truck to do what it was meant to do in the first place.
Copenhagen1, Does the rear seat happen to have three seat belts, or just two? I'm looking for a seat that has three for my three kids. I was thinking about making a third row mini van seat work, but that is going to require some cutting and fabing the rear finder wells.
Your 40 looks good by the way, nice work.
Mike
Mike ... it only has two seatbelts. Thanks for the compliments.
