Next up:

-Throw on that LUTZ speedometer correction device
-Valvomax Oil Drain Plug (for making oil changes easier)
-Diff Fluid / Oil Change
-Throw on the Talon's Garage full skid plates once the above 3 are performed
-Dialing in the uptravel (might be cutting bumps ever so slightly
-Dialing in the rear setup (cargo area) for camping/sleeping
-Rock lights, whip light, chase light wiring up.
-Clean the filthy seatbelt on the driver side
-Sand and paint the body cladding where some clear coat damage is
-List goes on..................forever.

This has got to be one of the best Build Threads.
I have the exact same LX470 as you - 2002, black but mine is a stock with 73K miles.
Wish I had found this thread as I just purchased new Michlien tires but wish I had tires like yours.
Like you, I just replaced the CV Axles with Cardone Severe Duty HD's thinking the rubber boots were more durable.
At only 73K miles and never offroad the OEM ones boots split both right and left and that makes me question going with OEMs.
So far the Cardone's are doing just fine.

Really like the looks of the front of your LX.

Since I bumped up tire sizes, got new sliders to accommodate this. These are mounted-to-frame custom sliders made by Iron Ryno Fabrication (he works out of his garage in Lomita, CA). More angle, no kickout, tighter to the body, and of course shortened from my previous sliders (also made by Iron Ryno).

Awesome build progress. Really enjoying following. It's looking 🤌

Does Iron ryno do bumpers? Looking for someone to do a super high clearance front bumper for me GX and the sliders work looks super nice.

Also somehow just noticed you have a NW rear bumper. Loving mine! Looks ridiculously good on your lx.

Thanks. The "look" might not be for everyone to like maybe. I've stared at the vehicle too much to really get a sense of how it looks to a first-timer, it definitely lost some of the "classic" look to it with some decisions I've made.

As far as designing one, it would probably take him a while. He likes to churn through making sliders for folks, but he could do it I'm sure. There's a guy in Corona (I think) "Vidal Metal Works" who might be better suited, as he's starting to do bumpers for 100s. Otherwise, Coastal has bumper kits, Ascend Fabrication, etc. Haven't done GX research, so not sure.

Awesome, thanks for the info. I'll check out vidal! For the later year gx I have, very few good options. Lil Bs is the closest im looking for.

Starting to sell some stickers on a site. Let me know if you 100 series folks are interested. Peep the thread:

Looks like a great time! Curious what you think of the strands LED bar. Haven't read too much real world feed back on their lights.

It works decent, but I have yet to do any comparisons or anything. It's a 20" and it's bright, seems to be constructed and packaged well. Seems quality. Yea, definitely HAVE NOT heard a lot of real world feed back from anyone else. Typically, I like to run my ambers most of the time for night time trail runs, but it seems pretty bright for a 20" single row. No condensation issues. When something pops up, I'll update my thoughts.

Appreciate the feedback on the LEDs. Truck looks fantastic! I think I missed it somewhere but what new roof rack are you running? I've been looking for something similar where I could easily pop the load bars on and off.

It was @plaidwagon old personal roofrack, but I'm finding it a little difficult to pop the load bars back on once the siderails are bolted in place (tight fitment). It was easier to have the load bars on and bolted, and then the whole roofrack mounted to the roof. I think I have to figure this one out and see.....

Stay tuned though, he's working on a new roofrack idea where an entire roofrack can be popped on/off very easily.

Very cool. I'll definitely keep an eye out. Plaidwagon makes great stuff. I was close to going with the k9 rack (has a track running the full rail length so crossbars can be positioned anywhere along the length) but now I'll wait to see what plaid wagon comes up with.

Beautiful mods. Making me want to transform my black 2002 LX to look like yours.
