The more 1965s the better....... I'll have this one there too
Sweet. If my 74 55 isn't ready, I'll be rolling like its 1965.View attachment 1213031
Its going to be a 1965 take over

Man, the more posts and pics there are on this thread, the more I say lights and 4WD be damned, I want to go.

OOOOHHHH!!!
I like that!

Hey that's cheating!!! But damn is that cool, I'd love to see it in person

I know. I think I'm going to save the 55 for another trip and bring the 45. This run should suit it well. Not to mention, the 65 has been in countious service for the last 51 years whereas the 55/80/100 has only been around the block a few times.

That 45 has a lot of history to tell. Your pictures were great when you were picking it up.

Yeah, I couldn't have imagined or hoped a more grandiose story/rig.
As I told Ed, the next chapter will follow suit.

My ’81 FJ40 is starting to look questionable. Engine, supposedly rebuilt by PO 10k miles ago, has cracked head, burnt cylinder and more. I am still hopeful that Marshall can have it ready in time. My ’79 55 is in line behind the 40 for attention, so it will not be road-ready until next year's Relic Run.

Should have gotten the 6 cylinder model. ;)

I finally carved out the time to attempt fixing my vintage Coleman stove (model 413G, a late 1960's model for which I still have the original box and instructions) in preparation for this trip.

I'd tried once before and had been unsuccessful but was more fortunate this time.

If you're having trouble with one, I recommend this website: OldColemanParts.com | Disassemble Your Stove

That's a beautiful stove! Reminds me, I should get on top of rebuilding one of my old lanterns.

I am a strong tentative. 86FJ60 Shasta. Not sure where we landed on t shirt designs but I dabble a little and would be happy to put forward an idea or two.

Thanks. If I recall correctly, it was an eBay find. I think it had only been used sparingly. I think I paid ~$40 shipped to my door. I stumbled across several websites for lanterns as I was looking for help online. I'm confident with your skills and some online help in diagnosing the problem, you'll be able to knock it out quickly.

I've updated the list to add you as another tentative. Thanks for the offer to help with a t-shirt design. I traded messages with @GarnerFJ40 last week to see if he and Heather could lend a hand on designs for a potential t-shirt and sticker. I think their plans were to spend some time working on them yesterday. No word yet from them. Please send me and Brian a PM with your thoughts.
