Dyno numbers incoming

Currently making ~310hp at the wheels at 5300 and about 335ftlbs at 4500.

Possible the reuse but modified intake from the 80 is the limiting factor but honesty it sounds great and runs great.

Tach and Speedo also now work! Big wins today.

Edit: forgot to note that in ABQ we’re around 5500ft, so the altitude kills a bit of power too

Very nice. Curious how it feels before and after. Did they update anything in the computer in particular that is notable?
Tuner said that the base tune had way too much timing and way too lean. ~70hp difference between pretune and post. Idles way better, no stumble. Revs great now. Adjusted the fan temps to let the engine warm up properly.

VSS needed to be on VehSerial to work, and he got the tach working set to Crank. He also got the TapUp/TapDown working on the shifter (I had wired in the proper resistor network)

Wow. That’s incredible. I’ll bet the drive home was great.

I gotta get going on my intake so I can take mine in…

That's an impressive bump after programming! Did you use a bigger cam when you deleted your AFM?

I'm loving seeing your updates on this build; your quality of work is fantastic. Truly worth the wait to have it dialed on the first go around. 🥂
I had a custom cam made by CamMotion, but it’s very similar to a Truck Norris cam. But yes did all the normal stuff with the DoD delete, ls7 lifters, upgraded springs, etc.

Thanks! The truck is coming together nicely, very happy with it

Front end felt super stiff. Was running the -7 springs from Dobinsons, removed the 3rd from bottom leaf when installed. So I pulled the 5th today.

I estimate that with an aluminum LS and 6L80 my front end is 300-400lbs lighter than stock.

Also found this joint to the earls adapter was leaking. If you use this adapter I recommend putting a new m10 fitting and flare in place. The fitting is too shallow and the OEM fitting barely gets a single thread

Had mine tuned last week and the tuner said the same thing, the BP Automotive base tune makes it run waaaaay too lean. I didn't do a dyno but the before/after is so noticeable. By far the best part of the swap!
