Ya I’m gonna have to figure this out. Where on the intake did you put the vent? Or did you keep the purge solenoid?

I ditched the purge solenoid and just ran it to direct vacuum with a check valve. Bought this to replace the purge solenoid:

damn i didnt even think of this!
 
On the MPG - two things your a 6.0 with a CAM - that kills mpg. 14-15 is pretty good. if you want better MPG run stock CAM and i bet you bump up to 18mpg. Also get a real world clean up tune that will probably bump you up to solid 15. The tune helped my MPG in the FJ40
