Haha. Saw that this morning. If prices go through the roof it might be the one thing that motivates me to sell mine. Could be the only way I can afford a 200 Series. ;)
Here, here...me too.
I'd be willing to bet ultimately you'd regret that. I love the 200, was a step back in the right direction after the 100 IMO but the 80 still has character no modern cruiser does. I would love a 200 in addition to my 80 but definitely not as a replacement.

I feel the same way. no plans to sell the 80. But I would like to add a 200.

Agreed, I would regret it. But I just want a 200 so badly that I am trying to convince my wife to off the RX-350 and get a 200:)

Haha. Great minds think a like I guess, in process of attempting to make a 200 my wife's next DD as well. The most realistic way into having access to both for me lol.

Australian 80 with 37's. 37/12.5/17 with offset. Three inch lift, front diff moved forward, extended bump stops, caster correction etc. Haven't fully flexed it yet to see where it rubs. What axles are people running? I am still on OEM. Australian authorities don't like 37's maximum allowed is 35's with engineering inspection and approval. It is nerve racking driving on the road here for fear of getting fined and a defect.

Don't know if you can get Nitro axles in Australia, but if you can they're a decent option for front axles/CVs. RCV has some excellent chromoly options as well as some 300M shafts/CVs. I'm in the same boat and need to upgrade my axle shafts soon as well and Will likely do Nitros.

We can get nitro shipped to Australia ,we also have other option none of them are cheap.
I was wondering how you guys go with stock axles and 37's?

As much as you have put into your 80 going with the best axle shafts available only makes sense and Nitro isn’t them. I broke a Nitro rear shaft in Moab only to discover it had corrosion inside right where it broke which was all the way at the outboard (fat end). RCV has assured me their’s are 100% USA made. I have their fronts and still run the Nitro rears but if I ever break another rear Nitro I’m going to get the new two piece rear shafts from RCV. They do cost nearly twice as much but what you get is much more than twice the quality and customer service.

RCV is the better choice. I saw brosky's rear twisted Nitro axles... He said they would not warranty them since they were not broken.

OK Mr. Rocket, some where in your timeline I believe you did install that 1" body lift, right? I think you posted it on Instagram. If so did you make any adjustments to the bump stops? Those Timbren bumps are tempting... Bye the way how much do they crush.

I don't plan to change the rear axle shafts. I've seen the issues some have had with the Nitro rear shafts. I've been quite happy with the stock rear shafts so I'll only be upgrading the front shafts and birfs.

Yes I have a 1" body lift installed. I didn't adjust the front bumpstops because it was still essentially a 1" over stock bumpstop. With the trimming of the inner fender that I did it seems to be working well. In the rear I cut 1.75" out of the tower that came from Timbren. I'm not sure when in the process I did that (before or after the body lift) but I felt like they were too tall. The cut down height has worked well. I get a bit of light rubbing at full stuff in the rear. Just how I wanted it. The Timbren's will crush to about about 50% of their uncrushed height. That's a little over 2" of crush.

Adam could you please post some pictures of you Reg with the body lift , Namely of the front & rear bumpers. rear with the swing outs open tail gate closed.
I am asuming that you did not move the bumpers. Thanks

I'm not really comparing the two. I see them as pretty different vehicles. Both with unique strengths and weaknesses. Which is exactly why I want one of of each. :)
One of each is definitely the way to go. I recently pondered selling my 80 for another 200 so I had two 200s (yes I love them that much). But I realized I would miss my 80 too much. And having both is much more reasonable.
