The grommets go in first, then you drill the body for the twist locks, right? I don't have any twist locks, but I believe I have the grommets. My top is off, my roll cage is done. Maybe I'm ready for this now?

Drill your twist locks first. Then pull the top tight and do the grommets.

Also, see if you can utilize pre-existing holes.

Ok. Motivating to order the twi$t locks may be a factor. I'm fairly set on the Toyota ones...

They're like $9 each now I think. I used to pay $5.

Those of us in the trade know them as "common sense fasteners." Don't know why, but. I send replacement fasteners to customers from time to time with the instructions on how to use a good, sharp exacto knife to do the job. It works, just take your time and, NO drinking until the job is complete.

Could you post up those instructions? Please!

Thanks Johnny C, couldn't find it. My thread search skills are horrible

I will be needing it in 2 to 3 weeks. What do you think?
Sent you a PM. The tool went out this morning USPS.

Thanks again Sam! This is one of the things that makes the Mud community a great one.:beer:

Thanks mate for the offer but I went ahead and did it with a nail and a pair of scissors. Quick and easy except for the drivers corner

I had the same experience even with the tool. The drivers corner was the most stubborn.

Yes it was especially a pain in the butt because I have a snorkel there

I now have the grommet tool. However my top is just leaving Pakistan so I figure I will need it a couple more weeks. That being said... If you need this tool before then, let me know and it is yours and I will be next in line hopefully. Great program of Cruiser Karma going here and I would hate to take advantage.

Add me to the list. I am ready to get er' done.
