Yeah he can’t remember where he got this one, I’ve just never seen one like this beforehard to say for sure, when hi-steer kits first came out so many years ago, that's what most purveyors sold. why, did your dad or your uncle forget who's kit they used?

Just picked up a bj74 yesterday. It’s a 1989 blue block with 351000km. It even has cabl lockers! I’m going to swap this with the 60’s 3b. I think it relatively easy, but I have only seen people do this swap with a red block 13bt.

Is there a difference in blocks with the 13bt? That will be a great upgrade to the 3b

i believe the 13bt should go in with the same engine mounts and bellhousing

Its been a while since I have been to the shop. It’s also freezing here and I Went to Hawaii for a week.
Last week I bought some 1/8 x 2 inch wide flat bar for the tailgate. The tailgate it’s dented up pretty bad but I’m not to worried about it. I also. Had to cut out the inside because it was smashed in. Atleast now I can make soem tailgate storage!

My internet was really slow yesterday so I couldn’t upload the photos.
I just cut 2 inches off the outside skin. And cut the rust. Out of the inside layer.
It worked out really well with the 1/8 inch. Flat bar! Better than I expected lol

Interesting idea to do away with the fold and everything! Looks tidy. Might steal this if I ever repair another tailgate.
