I added “Impact Area - Report All Unexploded Ordinance” signs to my hunting property….😁 They were just laying around, nobody was using them..
 
Back in the day I use to camp in the impact area, great hunting because few people went out there. One morning we were awakened by booms and ground shaking plus the occasional sound of shrapnel flying overhead. Low crawled to the rim of the depression and peeked over the top. Maybe 1000 yards away the EOD truck is located and about 500 yards to the 155 rounds they are detonating. Just went back down and waited them out. A while later took another peak, see a blinking light coming out way from miles off. Turns out a chunk of metal bounced under their truck and did really bad damage to somebody's ankle.

I’ve had it for a number of years; don’t remember now perzactly where I bought it, but it was online for sure. It came with mounts for a receiver hitch on the back. Let me look and see if I can find it again.
 
We’re very close to McGuire AFB and they have training dates where it’s huge booming sounds all weekend long… we’ve grown accustomed to it over the decades but the new people who move to the area always post on those neighborhood websites…

One of my Mil buddies, parachute rigger by trade, so you know he’s not quite right, would duct tape one of those to his helmet when he was testing MFF rigs. I have a pic somewhere.

LMAO You have GOT to find that pic and share! I don't know what any of this has to do with the Best FJ40 Upgrade Ever, but after a good rum & Diet Coke it has me laughing pretty good!

Where my wife is from in Southeast Georgia (she used to be a Forensic Investigator for the GBI so I can't get away with squat) there was a joint military & federal facility called FLETC (Federal Law Enforcement Training Center) and there were explosions going off over there all the time. So I can relate.

On the bright side, they would hire local people to pretend to be hostages or pretend to be hostages takers and play out scenarios. I always wanted to do that just for the experience, but was always too busy.

It has nothing to do with “The Best FJ40 Upgrade Ever” and everything to do with “The Best FJ40 Upgrade Ever”. 😉

I’m digging for the photo. Now, there was a poster that hung in the packing room (think parachute rigger) that I’m pretty sure was inspiration for the photo op.

Tossing this out. Try “Black Seal Rum” w/your Coke. Its Rigger Shop Approved (so I hear)..
