Well, Seth is too busy at school to post on ‘Mud, so I’ll do it…

…….. All State finally came through!!! When the appraisal clause was invoked, the Pig magically became worth $5k more overnight!!! AND because of all the mess, they aren’t going to salvage recover the truck!! He gets the $ and keep the bacon for future body swap!!! It only took 10 months, ~40 hours on the phone, and two 3rd party agents, but justice has prevailed.

Who did you use to appraise?

So, the Pig is back in Alabama. After dicking with the insurance for months, they have pretty much agreed to total it and let Seth buy the wrecked pig back/ keep it. Just arguing about value right now.

We are on the search for a mediocre body (or better) with a few states of Alabama if possible to do a body swap. Doesn’t need to run or even have running gear at all. Just a average or above main pig body. Any leads are welcome to help keep her alive.

What about this one:

Also be sure to check the 55 thread here lots on FB:

Besides the actual lifting, the body is damn near ready to come off.

Erin in TN has two bodies I think Seth is going to pick up. Between the 3, he should have a nice pig again.

Dang that was a cool 55. Really too bad. All that heritage of the 80 year old driving it with his kids and then you doing a nice base line restore and taking cool road trips all destroyed. Mud terrains and icy roads do not mix well. I'm surprised he was driving it in Montana winter with the ice melt they put on the roads. I don't even drive my 40 in the winter and 40s don't rust near as bad as 55s. The salt brine mixtures just absolutely destroy old metal in short order. Especially with non seam sealed spot weld construction. It just soaks into all the panels and sits and rusts a cruiser away. Plus the dual wheel cylinder drum brakes make for a even more sketchy drive on ice. Need a lot of driver skill or its a recipe for disaster. Really glad it wasn't your sweet blue 55.

Well…..

Seth enlisted in the Navy to be a rescue swimmer!!!!

Since I feel somewhat responsible for him buying a pig in the first place and influencing him to join the military, I had to buy the pigs back.

Maybe I can rebuild it one day!?? Or maybe one of your needs to!!

-get Tundra and trailer
-get frame from one house
-went to farm
-lots of jacking up and off
-put body back on frame
-took to other house in the woods for storage
-used my Pigs winch to move them around
-sit until ??

Good times
