Thought I would include some important things I've gotten from my local Toyota parts source (North Georgia Toyota in Dalton, for those in the southeast)
that I got over the past year. I order the items on their website by part number and I not only get a smoking discount but I pay no shipping - just go down there and pick them up. All for my 1995 HZJ75 left hand drive troop carrier.
Radiator: 16400-17070 - comes with all associated parts in the diagram
Radiator Drain Cock: 16417-15210 - also available separately - can be an important emergency repair item.
Fan: 16361-17010
Fan fluid coupling: 16210-17020
Radiator hose outlet: 16572-17020
Radiator hose inlet: 16571-17020
Water Inlet pipe: 16321-17010 (16321 in the diagram)
Thermostat: 90916-03089
Also: last year my windshield was broken at the body shop which put me on the search for a new one and sure enough:
Windshield: 56111-60220
...was there at the parts desk in a week. I was kind of amazed and the parts guy said all this stuff comes from a big warehouse in Miami. I'd love to walk up and down those aisles.
Hope this helps someone. The more of this stuff we buy from Toyota the less likely they are to drop them so keep your money at home!
Who can I reach out to for finding a thermostat for a 93' LJ78?Hi All:
Figured I would start a thread that chronicles 7x specific parts that are available through normal Toyota procurement lines here in the USA market.
Obviously, we know that 7x series parts are available here as a fluke due to the suppport needed for the mining industry in North America (Canada, US, Mexico, Central America).
While most of these parts are 7x specific, there is a lot of cross-over as we all know. Chassis components were the same with 6x vehicles of the 1980's. Then front end components became the same as US 80 series components starting in 1999, and lots of other cross-over that is good for parts availability as well as stockpiling (one of my favorite hobbies...)
I would prefer this thread be only as a place where we discuss parts, the cross-reference-ability, availability, pricing, usage, etc.
There are a lot of experts in the 7x series forum who have great knowledge on these topics, so I hope that folks like @rick_d, @cruiserdan, @Hulsty, @lostmarbles, @Akella, @crushers, @roscoFJ73, @ForealBoreal, @cruiseroutfit and others (sorry if I missed your name) will chime in to correctly indicate information so we don't have a myriad of opinions and we stick with facts. This place can also be a place to discuss discontinued Toyota items and work-arounds.
These parts can be diesel-specific, petrol-specific, chassis and engine specific, etc. Ideally any and all parts.
I know there is a thread in the diesel/24v section of MUD, but since there are so many variants of these vehicles across 30 years of manufacture, it is worth while also including things like body parts, electrical components--everything 7x specific. The specific thread in the Diesel/24V section seems to specifically deal mostly with engine components, thus it seems reasonable to have a more encompassing thread for everything 7x specific. I have linked the diesel thread sticky here for a direct shot: The Diesel Part number thread. NO CHIT CHAT or PARTS # REQUESTS! - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/the-diesel-part-number-thread-no-chit-chat-or-parts-requests.42417/
If folks don't see this venture as useful or educational, then I will be happy to delete it.
I hope many folks can contribute as we can then build a really good database for current and future 7x series owners.
Best regards.

Who can I reach out to for finding a thermostat for a 93' LJ78?
Appreciate it I actually checked the website before but wasn't sure which one to get so that narrowed it down. Probably gonna call the shop Monday but I'm looking for kits or possible options to add a cold air intake of some sort as well. I don't know if they make something that can route air better from the front or custom stuff or if I'm just stuck with a snorkel job.Easy

This is good information to know about the operation. Thanks for explaining this.Sorry, don’t offer any kind of cold intake for that model. You’re always more than welcome to use the ‘Contact Us’ to reach out about parts fitment:

If you need help finding a specific part for your land cruiser please reach out and our service team will respond as soon as possible.cruiserteq.com
Our order phones get quite busy (particularly on Mondays) with customers calling with a list of part numbers they. If you don’t have part numbers, the contact-us is preferred and appreciated as that allows our tech staff upstairs to assist via email. They have more bandwidth and resources to lookup part numbers and requests than the phone order team.
