sorry if I missed a prior post... was the rod section custom made or adapted? was the wheel mounting plate adapted only to go from 5 to 6 lug wheel? @tornadoalleycruiser

I think the short one came with the 79 bed.

the shorter one looks familiar... If I recall, some sort of lock was on the end.

Lost one of the end caps on the factory bumper. Got some replacements. Seems like the original ones are plastic but the new ones are rubber.

Also finally got a good replacement lhd turn signal/lights/wiper stalk. And new steering column cover. I guess that means I have to work on the horns.

The 75's came with the shorter bolt for the spare tire although the longer one was optional (maybe for non steel rims?).

Making great progress; must feel good to get it to this point.

So, if you are replacing your seat belts with this one, don’t forget to order these two bolts, or at the very least the one with the big shoulder on it.

Those turned out really nice @coldtaco . So to be painfully clear, that 79 series inner, LH (73240-60242-B1) will not under any circumstances buckle into a 75 series outer, LH (73210-60101-B0)? Pretty sure that has been established so please forgive my stubbornness.

I had one bulb out on my license plate lights when I bought mine and instead of buying a replacement bulb I bought two new assemblies given how cheap they are. IIRC they are like $10 each. Nice tag.

Thanks for clarifying and for the photo. Not sure why they felt compelled to change that design but I'm sure it's an "improvement" of sorts. I think I will buy a whole set "just in case". I appreciate the sheet metal modifications weren't major but I wonder if the old shoulder harness assemblies could be rewebbed with the new straps and male ends? I'm sure Safety Source could do that. I will probably just file that away for another day.
