Looks like you could remove the cargo panel and push most of it out with your hand. After that maybe some PDR techniques.
Thanks. I wasn't sure if that was a single or double wall configuration. I really hate to go into a body shop with a 55 with holes in the front fenders and ask them to repair a "dent". On the other hand, it's one dent less to deal with later if I can get it done correctly.

Ask for "paintless dent repair" these guys will be your best option for what you ultimately want. Their process is closer to old school metal finishing as opposed to filling with filler and paint over.

I think the Pig and Ms Troopy look pretty good together.

What’s under the cover?

A very rare Camaro would be my guess
Yes. 69 Camaro. It's a friends. Apparently rare but I don't know a lot about it. Not an SS or a Z28. 4 speed and yellow. He is using the space. Had to drop the trans to have something done to it. This one moves in a trailer everywhere it goes.

Wouldn't happen to be a Yenko Camaro would it? That would be rare and $$$

If I understand correctly, a "Yenko" refers to a specific dealer that figured out how to order the "copo" Camaros. But I also think there were ~1000 copo Camaros before it was all said and done. I am not an expert but will ask my friend. I just recall him saying that there were only something like 8 made in this exact configuration (in 1969). And I'm not positive on the "8". It could have been 6 or 9 but was less than 10.

I wouldn't trade your Troopy for it.
Yes not sure I would make that trade either but I can certainly appreciate what an absolute pristine restoration was done to it.

ZL1, all Aluminum big block with stonecrusher 4 speed tranny. 50 were built, with 37 being returned to GM. Would be 12 sold. 😉
That could certainly be the one. His single digit number might the known survivors. Amazing that you have that information to hand Bob.

Turns out I only had a pair of NOS surround bezels for the side marker lights and not the actual light assemblies. After searching the internet far and wide (and checking with Yemen, etc.), I found the RH light assembly on a Japanese Yahoo auction with a buy it now price of around $15. Emailed Dave at Japan4x4 and he was kind enough to purchase it and send it to me.

In doing some research I found out that the 40 series side marker light lenses are the same as the 55. Unfortunately the lenses are NLA but you can still get them if you buy the 40 series assembly (~$30 each). In doing further research, it appears that all the parts are the same except for the gaskets. Would love to find a NOS LH assembly to get the new gasket and/or find a source for the gasket. So far I haven't come up with anything.

Was out of town all last week but plan on visiting a few shops of various ilk next week to see if I can find someone to tackle this ginormous dent. The company whose driver hit the pig have been very good about communicating that they will cover the costs. To paraphrase Carl (Bill Murray) "...so I've got that going for me". :D
