I can't remember exactly, but try Cruiser Corp. You can still get the one side gasket, but you can flip it and use it on the other side. There will be two drain holes facing up, so just "black right stuff" them. I did mine and nobody can tell. I'm talking about the large wedge gasket, if that makes sense. In doing some research I found out that the 40 series side marker light lenses are the same as the 55. Unfortunately the lenses are NLA but you can still get them if you buy the 40 series assembly (~$30 each). In doing further research, it appears that all the parts are the same except for the gaskets. Would love to find a NOS LH assembly to get the new gasket and/or find a source for the gasket. So far I haven't come up with anything.
I tried Cruiser Corp, City Racer, and Slocruisers. Cruiser Corp had the OEM FJ40 side marker lights but I didn't see a gasket or assembly for the FJ55 side marker lights on any of those sites.I can't remember exactly, but try Cruiser Corp. Weatherstrip - Gasket Front Side Marker Light - OEM - FJ40 1969-1974
OEM Toyota - Fits FJ40 10/1969 - 12/1974 Front Passenger Side gasket. These are getting more and more rare! The driver side has been discontinued by Toyota. These can also be used on the driver side, although your drain holes will be pointing up.cruisercorps.com
This is the one, not 55, but will work. But two and flip one over then caulk the two water drains, so you can't see them. They have close to the same angle to them.
Turns out I only had a pair of NOS surround bezels for the side marker lights and not the actual light assemblies. After searching the internet far and wide (and checking with Yemen, etc.), I found the RH light assembly on a Japanese Yahoo auction with a buy it now price of around $15. Emailed Dave at Japan4x4 and he was kind enough to purchase it and send it to me.

Was out of town all last week but plan on visiting a few shops of various ilk next week to see if I can find someone to tackle this ginormous dent. The company whose driver hit the pig have been very good about communicating that they will cover the costs. To paraphrase Carl (Bill Murray) "...so I've got that going for me".

Thanks Jim. That would be me. I just stopped to inquire about that Series Land Rover that was sitting out front. He said that one of their employees was an FJ55 fanatic but wasn't at work. I think it was Tuesday.Plaza Body Works on Pepperell Parkway repaired a bad dent in a Miata trunk for me and it turned out well. That's all I have for a suggestion of a body shop in the area.
My son, @cruiserinsanity, is working at Eagle Imports in the afternoons. He was telling that someone with a red and white Pig had come by the shop before he had arrived at work. Sometime earlier this week but I don't remember the day.
@WarDamnEagle I’m the fanatic, I’m only there after 12:00. If you see a tan FJ60 sitting closest to Byron’s please stop by again sometime. Thanks Jim. That would be me. I look forward to meeting you as well.Easy peasy Gavin. I look forward to meeting you.
Well the gaskets will work well even though they are not 100% identical. They are more or less identical in every detail except the front marker light gaskets are ever so slightly higher in the rear and ever so slightly thinner in the front. In plane view they look identical. Even the weep channels are the same.Well I bought a set of these: Genuine 69-75 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 FJ45 Side Turn Signal Marker Lights Lamp* - https://www.ebay.com/itm/154522672760?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D1110018%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.COMPLISTINGS%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D240417%26meid%3Da0f77fbde99946eaa3eb51524ab7762b%26pid%3D101196%26rk%3D5%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D133714639947%26itm%3D154522672760%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2047675%26algv%3DItemStripV101HighAdFeeWithCompV3RankerWithKnnRecallV1%26brand%3DToyota&_trksid=p2047675.c101196.m2219&amdata=cksum%3A154522672760a0f77fbde99946eaa3eb51524ab7762b%7Cenc%3AAQAHAAABEA%252FJiT7ssNXrEsx1zZncFUUkLU8ikMh%252FiWOsxkTqeqIbE5K4lpcDSKjAfQ%252F1if83xZmFUlaqOee9xj8xMB8CDxcxiBHxOwvyx30g1t67FelLs1ZqlUnQE8PMVmILU1qWw288AZ9Y2Q3lTw6fU9UeOwsQSWRnviV6U8itxq%252F6qds0A4%252B1FYtFdW7iCuAhkvJHr2bLFr9QltqJCGx7fe2o6KJSZqoeIsRz9FjrlvyzDkFOfro8B6rJ92wCpUybWu5fG%252BYZMH0jkTS7VnR0mRSebLsvjImroXNCGLEQIg%252FWCL3b%252BnvTn%252FQ%252FCN6ZS0jgQd2xU3bZWxMhTb%252BEo6oIKzRqb%252FXmSXoxuddFhikDy9A75JrC%7Campid%3APL_CLK%7Cclp%3A2047675&epid=2265251069
I will report back after receipt. They are front marker lights for something like '72-'74 FJ45 variants. Looks the part and there appears to be good availability. Of course at almost $100 for the pair delivered it may not be to everyone's liking for a pair of gaskets.
Winner, winner, chicken dinner. Spoke to my friend today. He said 69 were built and only two in yellow. This is one of them.ZL1, all Aluminum big block with stonecrusher 4 speed tranny. 50 were built, with 37 being returned to GM. Would be 12 sold.![]()
In related news, I made a video of this ZL1 running today. I'm not smart enough to post videos so if anyone would like to on my behalf (in this thread please) them please PM me a phone number and I will text you the video. That is one wicked sounding engine considering it was OEM in 1969.Winner, winner, chicken dinner. Spoke to my friend today. He said 69 were built and only two in yellow. This is one of them.
