I bought it from Rock Auto. Denso makes the OEM condenser.Hey
NeverFinis,
Can you share what fan you used for the AC condenser. May not need one in the pacific northwest but will probably install one.

Thanks for sharing the condenser. what is the fan you used?
07 Silverado 1500 classic, front end crash, but not terrible. Drove it off the trailer. Bad hail damage probably contributed to totaling it.How was the donor vehicle was it in a crash?
Sure, could be. Took awhile to show though, if that was it.Just asking because it may have been damaged before you swapped it in.
If you're building your own harness, LT1 Swap - https://www.lt1swap.com/ is the bible. Happy reading.I have looked in the search bar but haven't found what I'm looking for as of yet!
Is there a write up on what to remove from the ls harness?
I know things will vary depending on how or what people use in their builds, but is there specific parts of the harness that is not needed?
I'm about to degrease it and start labeling plugs etc etc
Thanks

I would recommend going with psi. It’s only about 700$ and the computer is 200$. Engine started the first time. They were very helpful to all my questions. Initially I thought about doing my own but after watching psi on YouTube’s, got convinced not worth my time. On the other hand. Check out my early Christmas ornaments.I have looked in the search bar but haven't found what I'm looking for as of yet!

I'm also using the PSI wiring harness. At the moment, my PCM is in the glove box. I don't like it, and eventually have to figure out a place to put it. For coolant, I went with GM:Usually I get my answers here by searches but I could find this one, so dumb question:
What coolant type is best to use, Toyota (my belief), GM, or magic any make any model ever made stuff? I am using the stock 97' LC radiator and the swap is a GenIV 6.0L (LY6).
Also, on the previous post about the PSI kit, I went with that as well. For one, I didn't have a good harness and computer with my engine. Overall, the PSI is pretty straight forward and decent instructions. When I did call with a stupid question, I spoke with a guy by phone (rather than email back and forth) and got squared away pretty quick. One thing with the kit, I cleared an area under the driver side dash, tucked way up above the kick plate and left of the pedals for the ECM. I made some brackets and everything was tucked away and went in well.... until I ran the harness into the engine bay. Everything was too short on the passenger side. Their harnesses are meant to be installed on the passenger side under the dash, where we don't have room in a LC. I made a separate box and installed it where the LC cruise control actuator was on the passenger side of the engine bay.
I sold my Toyota ECU after the LS. The Toyota ECU no longer talks to the the truck so it's obsolete.@White Sheep I have looked into where to place the computer once I do my swap. I had thought about removing the Toyota computer but many people were against that and I don't have strong enough conviction to say it has to go. What are your thought on making a mount that places the GM computer as far back as possible and then making a modified glove compartment so you still have limited functionality for essentials (keep the owners manual and your insurance/registration) but not room for the extra crap that inevitably comes to rest in there.
