Try rotating the intake tube around so that the MAF is in a different position relative to the air flow. Mine quit throwing codes after I did this, but I’m using a gen 3 old style MAF. Nice looking swap btw.

How so? My understanding is it just impacts the EVAP system, as Joshua said above. According to my HPTuners logs, my EVAP purge solenoid is still opening even without the GM fuel level sender and the corresponding code set.
From what my tuner guy-who isn't a very good tuner-told me the ecu uses the fuel level for fuel/timing. I came accross this through a couple forums too. It's been a while since I researched it.

Its currently pulled apart as im cleaning the engine bay and the wiring...
I need to get my computer reprogrammed on my swap did you send yours somewhere ?

I converted my HZJ80 to 5.7L LS1, im in OZ so parts were easier but also harder then the you guys in the states

I retained the 5speed manual

Rear hump sump from summit racing with 3 in coils clears fine, using some hooker block huggers into a twin 2.5 to single 3in exhuast

I did my own wiring.

Marks adaptors here in australia supplied all the adaptors

Any more questions, just ask :)

Need some help getting MAF to work.

Setup: L96 crate engine with GM performance harness. (not relevant but 6L80 with tap shift ;)

using 4: aluminum tube with MAF 10" from throttle body. The harness instructions state the MAF must be 10" from the throttle body and at least 3" from upstream bends. the MAF is 6" from upstream 90 bend.

I don't see any reason my MAF readings are low, but the engine won't run right with the MAF plugged in. Will run just fine on speed density mode (default if MAF unplugged).

getting P101 code for low reading. The engine won't stay at idle rpm and jumps around.

I thought I was getting heat soaked from the radiator hose which was running over the top of the air intake tube, but I re-routed the radiator hose and bought a new MAF sensor. still having the same issues.

I am completely bewildered...

Any ideas????

Curious…did you go with the stock GM oil pan or did you switch to the Camaro Fbody pan? I am right there with a L96

Last gen 4 intake I measured had a inside diameter of 3.35" at the maf. But your style might be designed for a different size.
The crate engines seem to have standardized parts. It uses the ls3 MAF sensor and the instructions say to use 4”.

I’m gonna try temporarily removing all 90 angles to see if it’s a turbulence issue.

Anyone have a factory solution for this problem?

LS3 EM if going through CARB
Hooker headers if emissions are not involved...
Ls3 for oem

I bought a set of corvette center dump ls3 manifolds while I was doing my swap. They looked like they would need a bit of trimming on the flange but would most likely work. I didn’t end up using them as my motor needed an egr valve to make California legal. I’ve also heard ctsv manifolds would work but I would do some research on them.

Summit manifolds and add the OEM heat shields.. like the guy a few pages back did
