Yes, the crossmember was slotted about 3/4".

I have mine up on lift and can easily measure the diameter of the stock DC to see if that does make a difference. The balancing weight on the center carrier doesn't look like it help things either.
FWIW, on my 6L80 I did have to trim off the pan some. Luckily I didn't have to go into the transmission itself. That's with a stock driveshaft
