There’s a great deal going on in the Land of Nod. The Meade Hall is getting the lions share of attention right now. Keeping 2.0 on life support for the next 3-4 weeks then it’s decision time. FL or WV?

The wind of change is a fickle breeze.

Here in the Land of Nod, my 65 MPH effort on the big road usually gets a thumbs up from indigenous F150 crowd. I hold my own and I’m not overly annoying on the two lane. I kinda like my routine here ambling around in 2.0 at a leisurely pace with no sense of urgency.

North FL on I95 is a different reality all together. It’s Four lane mayhem. There, chugging along at 65 in the grandma lane is like riding a bike down the Mulsanne Straight the opening lap at Le Mans. If I keep to A1A and creep along the coast in my flip flops, Ray Ban’s and Jimmy Buffet grin, I can lower my chances of becoming a statistic..😁 Beach-combing, fishing,
and more fishing has an appeal.

2.0 was raised somewhere in Idaho before being brought via open carrier to WV. Now, I’ve only driven through Idaho. But it seems to me ID and WV share at least some commonality. Nobody seems to be in that big a hurry, 55mph is agreeable and flannel is considered acceptable evening attire.

Said all of that cause I’m on my second cup this AM and I get carried away in the moment. It’s honestly a toss up. The Ms is inbound this Sunday afternoon and one of the main topics of conversation will be “post holiday decision points” followed by “why are your shotguns laying on the counter in the BG”..😎
 
Florida has been whispering in my ear as well. I can no longer stay warm in winter, My wife would hate it… oh well. We moved to South Miami when I was 14.. got my driving learners permit at 14 and DL at 15. This was 1967. We lived next to a girls religious camp …at 15…they were not religious.
You remember that part of Paul Simon’s “Kodachrome”.

I love Florida… you’ll miss a few things about WV but…I’d go
